Buster, do you feel like taking a turn for Gaia? Tai Mai Shu suggested we get a substitute, but probably, just taking one turn would give the game a hint of movement until Tai Mai Shu returns (Sat. the 14th?). The turn could be as simple as just moving 2 units an additional tile in the direction they took the 1st turn. (I can also understand if you don't want to get into this.) I presume that Dinoarms could send you a copy of the turn if you are willing. Anyone else have any 'druthers?

Yes we do need a replacement. For those of you who may feel a little more generous keep in mind that solver's responce rate in this game and in another I am playing averages at least 48 hours. This game well probably run to MY 2300 which means we will spend 300x2 days waiting for Solver....that's just under Two Years.
I believe we contact Buster and he will find one.....I am posting him now.

The following has been posted to Buster via private messaging.
(Buster
It's been 96 hours since Solver was posted his turn. He know's better than that. I believe he has over extended himself with his moderator duties and the joining of too many games...
We would like to find a replacement for him. How do we go about doing this?
Dinoarms)
Buster is on holidays at the moment. Is there anyone here that is aware of protocol for such a situation?

2103 to Levelisk - the Spartans.
Received the turn from Solver on the 19th with the following message:
Sorry, was a bit slow, as got the turn sent to an email address I use no longer.
(The rest of the delay was because of my being out ot town.)
ps:%$%#^, my ISP (MSN) is instituting some supposed security/anti-spam crackdown which requires some configuration changes (which I made already).
Apparently I am having trouble with these new settings.
If I can't get it going in a couple of hours, I'll attach the turn to a post here.
pps: Managed to send the turn on a different computer.
Status: Go (but only a very pale green light).
Edit: add and update ISP rant.Last edited by johndmuller; July 24, 2001, 13:18.

You are a moderator. How many PBEM's are you playing? Where you not aware that you had given the email address that you gave us? Why do you not post turn sent messages to this thread?
Look man...we just want to play...in a game I play with Buster, Gusto and Blarney the average wait time is 1 day...In both 7 humans ffa and NoAi your response time is such that the games will take at least TWO YEARS longer than if you were replaced with another player whose response time was similar to the other players.
If you don't have the time or the commitment that we respectfully ask that you bow out so that we can replace you.

p.s. ALL: What are Solver's addresses? I want to email the above to him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------First of all, please don't send to ugita@lantet.lv anything. The email
address now belongs to another person, I periodically clean it up with my
old mails. It's only solver@apolyton.net . If the turns get sent there, wait
time is normal. When sent to old address, it will surely be ages before I
play. Don't offend me on that one.
Reloads - I didn't know my password. I received it several hours after the
turn, and tried all the possible passwords.
Solver
Maybe it's just me but it seems to have a number of lame excuses and an all round unpleasant tone. Smartfart posted to the correct address on his first turn so i guess normal wait time for Solver will be 2 or 3 days. As for the password problem...i guess he ran a hack to try "all possible passwords" hehhe
