"Provost Keygen, I cannot allow your research programs to continue any longer unchecked. You may try to hide it, but your so-called pursuit of 'knowledge' is nothing but a covert weapons research program. I shall therefore neutralize your faction and place these technologies in responsible hands."

2149 to Rynn:
----------------
Morgan CEO Big_Canuk is appalled at the lack of appreciation for the consequences of war. Valuable resources will be diverted from the vital job of developing this planet. Surely, it would be possible to find an economic plan, in which both the Spartans and the UoP would be both better off. Morgan negotiators will make every effort to sell such a plan to the affected parties in the coming years. May logic prevail!Team 'Poly

Sorry Solver, but I can confirm what Googlie is reporting. Your Private Message box does indeed refuse to accept new messages (see earlier in this thread). Perhaps you need to delete some of them?
Also, given the fact that your Apolyton email address is hardly ever working nowadays an alternative would be very much appreciated. Thanks.Team 'Poly

I am amazed!
I was trying to develop my faction peacefully when totaly unprovoked and unfairly I was attacked by Tau!
I mean I am playing this game for 7 months, I haven't made any contact yet with any faction, I just finished exploring my small island, I haven't explored anything beyond two tiles away from this island and of cource I didn't expect that at this early stage without even having made contact with Tau that he would appear from nowhere with two transports full with vehicles and besiege two of my bases. I only have one guardian in each city of 1-2-1. This is how I expected an early attack.
If Tau has a hard on with conquers he could join a deathmatch but giving me that hard time in this stage while I haven't done anything against him and while he hadn't even the chance to know me is unacceptable and provocative attitude.
I have disbanded all my units and I have 5 more bases so I will ask to besiege them all in 2-3 turns to leave this game as soon as possible.
I apologize to the rest players for these words of anger but I just couldn't resist.

2150 to mark13. Score 38.
Keygen, I see that you are upset, and I am sorry that this game has not turned out the way you wanted. I do not have "a hard on for conquers", as you so eloquently put it - this is, in fact, the first time I have ever done a rover rush. Nothing personal, just a number of factors put together - for example the faction choices. I have a momentum faction which works against my usual style of play, you have the master researchers. You were unlucky to be so close.
You decided to go for wealth and neglect your military. That is a valid strategy, and one which can have a large payoff, but it also carries a risk. You gambled - and lost.
We never made any agreements not to attack other players until they are ready for it. Such an agreement would indeed be rather silly, given the different strong suits of the factions involved. Mine excels at conquest. Yours excels at peaceful research. I fail to see why I should have any obligation to give up my advantage to let you capitalize on yours.
This was my time. I was already far behind in technology, with no improvement in sight. Soon I would not have been able to hurt you if I had wanted to, and I had little to offer you in exchange for what you had. Waiting could only have made things worse.
Could I have gained something by cooperating? Possibly. Could I have gained as much as via conquest? Almost certainly not. Can you honestly tell me that you, put in my position, would not have done the same?
