Well, it's all a question of taste. I used to get fed up with people posting to say "you should start a new thread, nah nah nah" without taking the trouble to do anything about it Impossible to anticipate what will rile people, I guess ...

You're going to have to have a new thread some time. If you object to me starting it, then start a new one for yourself. No skin off my nose, and just to remove all doubt, I don't have a problem with distinguishing post number from post size. But I guess when defining a rule, post number is easier to measure ... though for the pedants among us, it still leaves room for some debate

I think Misotu that this has to do with the size of each page and not with the size of the topic. A one page long topic with many posts would be much slower to load than a multi-page topic where the last page has just a couple of posts . It's matter of page size and not topic size. Simple HTML stuff.
I have sent an email to MarkG asking about it. When he will reply I will know if I am right or wrong.

Yes, there is a limit of 150 posts for a single thread. I believe it was introduced because longer threads were very slow to load and caused problems.

Sorry if you'd prefer one long thread, but seriously a new, shorter thread will load faster which is quite a help for people with slower connections. And I've included links to/from, so people can go back through the history very easily.

Hi Misotu. What do you mean there is a 150 posts limit?
The previous topic had 174 posts and there are some other bigger topics. Is this true? Because I hate multiple topics just for the same game.
