61 -> Mis
With the discovery of Biomachinery next year, Morgan Industries plans on embarking on a massive project to re engineer the way we look at the world, and create a lot of little Morganites. The cloning vats will be used to create replicas of celebrities, Vice Presidents, or anyone who has the money.
"Now our lagging population can finally catch up to the likes of the Peacekeepers" says CEO Buddha. "Even our smallest cities can grow very quickly without any real infrastructure. Just press the button and bingo! the market for your products has grown."
CEO Buddha puts the timeline for completion on the CV at about 2165, although sooner if neccessary.
CEO Buddha also officially apologizes to Commisioner Mis Otu about the energy stockpile inquery. Neither is CEO Buddha worried that Mis would even attempt such a thing as nuclear warfare is now in the hands of the University and all it takes is 1 nuke to stop a would be market cornerer. That is the other reason we didn't even try to corner the market, Buddha says.

Though no official comment was forthcoming today, observers detected a despondent air in UN HQ.
"Peacekeeper strategy in this game has been rather hard to follow" said one source. "They've missed out on most of the key SPs and are struggling to achieve their usual population levels."
It is believed that Commissioner Mis has sent a personal note to the CEO, assuring him that no apology for his earlier unfounded allegations was necessary. In the meantime, it is rumoured that the University will win the race for the Hunter-Seeker this year, pipping the Morganites to the post by a whisker. This latest development is unlikely to do anything to improve the air of gloom and doom in UN territory.

University researchers announced today that they completed development of the Hunter-Seeker Algorithm, a new powerful encryption algorithm that will make all University bases, units and datalinks immune to probe team actions. This achievement will take away any fears that the University's open society choices might facilitate possible probe team actions from other factions.

The Commissioner is pleased to report that the year has passed peacefully. It is rumoured that, in a parallel universe, the Misotu entity has just been planet-busted. So the tranquility of ACT003 is a welcome haven ...

CEO Buddha would like to announce that after making large "compensatory" payments to the University empire after they requested a similar "compensation" that he payed it dutifully. However Morgan Industries, although wealthy, is not a bank, and we can not give away the money that we have earned through years of infrastructure development and terraforming. It is true that we generate a lot more money than either of you through our pacts, however we have a much lower population. We do not ask you for cities because of our lower population so why should you ask us for energy?
Why should the natural capabilities of factions be taxed? If the Morganites generate extra energy from our pacts the University will generate many more lab points from the same amount of commerce, while the Peacekeepers will be able due to their extra talents and Virtual world project to have large populations without having to pay to keep them happy. We do not ask you for extra talents.
Morgan Industries will eventually pay this "compensation" in the nature of good international relations however CEO Buddha himself highly disapproves of "subsidizing" nations that invest less in their energy infrastructure. However right now our energy grids our straining at finishing our last batch of research hospitals and hybrid forests.

The Peacekeepers are disturbed to see that the CEO's income from his Pacts is so much higher than that of any other faction. Our citizens are looking enviously at the comfortable Morgan lifestyle, and demanding compensation. We hope that the CEO will assist PK leadership by making a conciliatory gesture of some kind.

The Peacekeepers are grateful to the CEO for the gift of a tech. We understand his unwillingness to pay a tax on one of his faction's advantages. We would simply point out that this particular advantage is dependent on the good will of other leaders. That is the nature of it.
However, in the interest of good international relations, we wish to state that it is not our intention to revisit this issue.
