Is using captured weapons a cheat?

Dissident, in that case, start think of the game from probe team's persceptive And watch out for that SE probe rating setting bug.

As for captured units, I don't believe I had to prototype those.

This is the second time I see hints of a probe rate bug. Can someone briefly explain it, or post a link to an explanation?

IIRC as Data Angel, it's possible to get +7 probe rating if you have right SE settings. But the problem is that if your probe rating's higher than +3, the game automatically consider it as 0 rating.

So basically you're forced to limit yourself to SE settings that will not take you over +3 probe rating.

Unfortunately as Data Angel, you start with +2 probe and later on when you get that tech that gives you ops centre in all of your bases, you will get +4 probe.

Something like that.
