Network Backbone
+1 research at this base for every point of Commerce this base receives, and +1 research for every Network Node in existence on Alpha Centauri, regardless of the player owning the Network Node. Eliminates the negative effects of Cybernetic Society.
Mmmm I think this sounds like a nice SP to have?
Clinical Immortality
One extra Talent at every base. Doubles your votes in elections for Planetary Governor and Supreme Leader.
I can see why - it's kinda of useless in SP since you're often so far ahead anyway. But what about MP?
Can't really decide between MCC LR, or SE. In MCC I like to overflow from space to sea. LR is nice to see that industry plant pop up over the horizon, and in SE the stately elevator car with the breathtaking view of Chiron in the background.

I disagree completely with the entire contents of this thread. It is raping my mind and filling my brain with vile thoughts. You'll all be hearing from my atourney.
I've always enjoyed the movie to the Neural Amplifier.
The scene I always envision is the last surviving Spartan soldier in the base (Assassins' Redoubt?) hiding out in some control room or galley. He's crunched down, back to the wall, knees against his chest, clutching his plasma rifle in white-knuckled terror, shuddering spasmodically and muttering to himself unintelligibly, grimy all over with sweat.
And before he's found and killed/incapacitated/psychically mind-raped by whatever invaders are there (I always imagine Gaian demon boils and their empath commandos), he softly intones amid the carnage:
Mary had a little lamb
Little lamb
Little lamb
Mary had a little lamb
Its fleece as white as now
And if this were a movie we would then cut to his face being horrifically ripped off or his head exploding.
And, ahem, +50% psi modifier is always nice.

That would be The Dream Twister.
Time to replay SMAC; my memory of these details is fading.

The Neural Amp is 50% to Psi Defence; it is the anti-Dream Twister.
Neural Amp movie has three apparently Spartan faces with special helmets on shielding them from psych attacks... not unlike conspiracy theorists wrapping their heads in tinfoil to defect the government's/aliens' mind-control rays.
