Six and a half days to 39.
I am on a mission to see how much coffee it takes to actually achieve time travel.

How amusing... Yet, inspires my curiousity...

      I'm 41 .
This is what it means to be a Spartan. It's not the killing or the suffering that matters. It's the purity of focus, without fear of death or pain.

        This thread will never die

Does someone has extra time/energy to calculate the average? I'm all spent out.
"I'm having a sort of hard time paying attention because my automated teller has started speaking to me, sometimes actually leaving weird messages on the screen, in green lettering, like "Cause a Terrible Scene at Sotheby's" or "Kill the President" or "Feed Me a Stray Cat", and I was freaked out by the park bench that followed me for six blocks last Monday evening and it too spoke to me."

The old folks started out strong but in true form ran out of steam.

I'll do my part to bring back the mid level. I'm 27
Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

            New average age:
            30.4323 with 41 posters counted.
Why doing it the easy way if it is possible to do it complicated?

Well, I'm about 0.45 years behind the average... And if no new ages appear, I'll be .45 years behind forever... but that has'n got anything to do with anything...
I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

You could create some DLs with fake ages and mess up the spread that way.

                          • Should we interpret the results as meaning that Alpha Centauri is, broadly, a game for older or more mature gamers? Or just that a lot of people coincidentally happen to be above their teen years?

                            • I think there is definitely a connection between the type of game SMAC is and the type of person that enjoys it.

I just don't know how to define that connection.

I think that; in order to fully appreciate SMAC, it has to be approached in an empire developing style of play. Where you ponder today's move, considering the implications & ramifications that it will have upon the future. Something that seems to develope with wisdom (wisdom being the inteligent application of experience). Usually, more and more (wisdom), is aquired with age.

Then again... When I was born, I was already 20.
