    Battle Report MY 2122

    • Gythium Harbour built network node.
    • Bad luck for the Chiron Knights. They ran into yet another fungal bloom. The amount of fungus and rocky tiles between Yang and us is growing to incredible proportions. R-112 then explored a bit more SW.
    • Tomcat-1 finished planting a forest.
    • Hive contacted. Treaty signed. SCC Invincible sails through the strait seperating the Hive continent from our peninsula.
    • Rolling Thunder moved one square east. A unity pod detected east on a rocky and fungal tile. Second move was used to go southeast.
    • Shinsengumi moves two west en route to Sector Craterwest.
    • SC1 CP production hurried with 3 minerals at a cost of 7 credits.

      Battle Report MY 2123

      • SC1 built CP. Production set to former.
      • SC1 CP moves north.
      • Rolling Thunder moves E and N. Nutrient resource discovered in the sea => a good site for a future eastern port base?
      • Shinsengumi en route to SC3.
      • Tomcat-1 starts cultivating farm NE of SC3.
      • Chiron Knights and R-112 move to the suggested square near the unity pod.
      • SCC Invincible moves further down the Hive coast, and ends the turn next to a unity pod.
      • Energy allocations set to 60-0-40. We currently produce 6 credits and 7 labs per turn.

oops - forgot the presend gamesave (it's been opened a gazillion times since wrapping up the turn - to produce the screenies, etc, so I'm sure there'll be multiple reload messages in it):

            Battle report - 2125

            • Planetary Networks researched and are embarked upon Nonlinear Mathematics
            • Olympus Academy founded - probe team put into production there
            • Moved SCC Invincible east 3 movement points (damaged)
            • Rolling Thunder moved 1 tile north
            • Popped the Unity pod to its east (a minerals special)
            • Zak, sitting offshore in a transport with a 1-1-1 disciplined scout, hails us
            • Zak wanted Yang's commlink number (refused it), then wanted Doc Flex, but wouldn't trade Gene Splicing for it. Woudn't Treaty, nor trade, so we mutually hung up.
            • Moved R-112 and Chiron Knights in tandem one tile southwest then 1 west, prepping for popping that pod to their northwest
            • Changed the worker at SC2 to work the crater tile for a 1-2-1 benefit.
            • Changed production in SC2 to a 2-1-2 Recon Rover
            • Sliders set at 40/10/50 (6 income, breakthru in 12, at 11 labpoints per turn)

              Battle Report - 2126

              • Colony pod at SC3 rushed for 7 ec's
              • Shinsengumi moved from SC3 and is just approaching SC2 en-route to joining the Rio Grande
              • Rolling Thunder continued north and northwest, hugging our eastern coastline. Zak seems to have sailed off - at least he's not in sight of our rovers
              • Invincible moved 3 tiles east - our continent is not connected by a landbridge to any landmass to our south
              • Called up Zak, he still won't trade or treaty, but did sell us Lal's commlink for 25 ec's
              • Called Lal. He, too, won't trade or treaty, so we truced.
              • moved sliders to 60/10/40 (9 ec's per turn) to increase revenues while maintaining a decent research rate
              • Popped the southern pod with R-112. Dimensional Rift transported us 15 tiles south to a forested small landmass that seems to be connected in 3 directions

                Battle Report - 2127

                • Called up Lal – he won’t reply.
                • R-112 CRV east into forest, only to see ocean.
                • Chiron Knights north to uncover last black tile in our southwest region, then upriver towards the monolith and the southern tip. Encounters a mindworm on the river, and toasts it for ec’s (and gets upgraded to Elite!!)
                • Shinsengumi crosses the crater rim and bivouacs for the night at Santiago Citadel.
                • Rolling Thunder heads northwest along the coast for 1 tile, then encounters fungus so turns inland to aviod it
                • Tomcat-1 moves down Crater Lakes but it can’t get to the nut tile which is its destination
                • SC3’s Colony Pod moves down the Crater Lakes but can’t make its designated site with its last 1/3rd movement point
                • SCC Invincible rests this turn for at-sea repairs
                • production at SC3 changed to another colony pod (pop grows in 6 turns, pod completed in 9)

                  Battle Report - 2128

                  • Called Lal, and sold Plan Nets to him for 25 ec's
                  • changed SE to Planned
                  • Tomcat-1 moved up the Crater Lakes and commenced farming at 55:17
                  • SC3's Colony Pod to its designated site (53:19) - will found base next turn
                  • Shinsengumi moved thru Olympus Academy and popped pod to the north - a minerals special on a rocky tile!!
                  • Rolling Thunder moved west and southwest to pop that pod - got an Alien Artifact!!
                  • As Invincible had its 4 movement points restored (at 80% healed), finished mapping our southern coastline
                  • Tried for a quick mindworm kill by moving R-112 into the southwestern fungus instead of back west into the forest - couldn't enter (and didn't scare up a mindworm either)
                  • changed worker at Gythium Harbour from a 1-1-1 to a 2-1-0 to remove the energy efficiency penalty
                  • changed sliders to 50/10/40 to get Nonlinear Math 2 turns earlier - 10 instead of 12 (with a reduction in ec's per turn of 8 down to 6)

                    Battle Report MY 2129

                    • Sector Cratersouth established. Former production there hurried with 15 credits.
                    • SC2 production set to probe team. SC1 production set to something random: pressure dome. We've got three more turns before we have to decide what to build there.
                    • SC1 worked changed to a doctor for this turn. Or will we nervestaple?
                    • New SC1 former (Tomcat-2?) moved north as suggested by Googlie to build a road between SC1 and OA.
                    • Chiron Knights moving east.
                    • R-112 moves one tile west.
                    • SCC Invincible first moved a bit east (to explore a bit more than we would have by directly moving south) and then south as suggested by Dissident. On its last move it encountered an Isle of the Deep in a fungus tile. Battle odds are 32 to 35 against us. Therefore the ship fled east.
                    • Moved Rolling Thunder north to explore. N-NE.
                    • Moved Shinsengumi south to SC1, rehoming to Olympus Academy in the meanwhile.
                    • Moved Warwag west towards SC3.
                    • Moved the alien artifact towaeds a base on its own.

                      Battle Report MY 2130

                      • When I opened the turn, the diplomacy window with the Angels appeared, empty.
                      • Sector Cratersouth completes former. New production set to colony pod.
                      • SC2 production changed to scout patrol. SC1 production set to colony pod.
                      • Shinsengumi moved to SC1 for garrison duty.
                      • Former Tomcat-2 commenced building a road between SC1 and OA.
                      • Warwag rehomed to Sector Cratersouth. Didn't manage to move back out SC4 this turn, but will without a problem reach its destination SC3 next year.
                      • Tomcat-3 moving in position to plant a forest on that SC4 nutrient bonus.
                      • Alien Artifact moving further towards our bases.
                      • Rolling Thunder reached the northern tip of our continent and started heading back. To the pod on (64.12)?
                      • Chiron Knights finally moved out of Hivean territory. It uncovered the remaining unexplored terrain, and it ended its turn next to a unity pod.
                      • SCC Invincible further moved south as according to Captain Dissident's orders. It ended its turn next to a unity pod on an ocean tile. We can pop it next year, though of course there is some 40% chance we'll get an IoD and will have to run away. SCC Invincible also discovered a rocky tile south of its last location.
                      • R-112 CRV moved two tiles south. We've reached the southern end of a peninsula, so there's no alternative but turn around and head back into Hivean territory.

                        Battle Report MY 2131

                        • SC2 completes scout patrol, which moves to OA. SC2 production set to former.
                        • Chiron Knights pop pod. They discover nutrient resources and... another Battle Ogre MK1 !!! Ogre baptized Fiona. Moving to our home territories. Chiron Knights goes to pop that pod in the south before returning home.
                        • SCC Invincible also pops the pod and gets, as usual, an Isle of the Deep. Therefore it flees to the fungus-free east. It ends next to another sea unity pod, and also noticed a base radius.
                        • Tomcat-1 completes crater farm near SC2.
                        • Tomcat-2 completes road between OA and SC1.
                        • Tomcat-3 starts planting forest near SC4.
                        • Warwag moves into SC3.
                        • Alien Artifact further approaching our bases.
                        • Rolling Thunder moving back south, following a route east of Mount Taygetus.
                        • R-112 moves two tiles north, back into Hive territory.
                        • Energy allocations set to 60-10-30. It will now take seven years to discover Nonlinear Mathematics, and fifteen years to get a tech in general. This means we've got some twenty years to probe rape Zakharov.
                        • Got some bad news... When I clicked "End turn", that Isle of the Deep we popped came charging out of the fungus and attacked SCC Invincible. Our ship barely survived, 90% damaged. This means either seven years repairing, or moving further at half speed, but unable to pop any pods out of fear for other IoDs. I assumed moving east would keep the ship safe, and the IoD would land its cargo if it had any on the rocky tile we discovered. But I guess it moved instead straight towards that base (radius) we see, and discovered SCC Invincible on its path.

                          Battle Report MY 2132

                          • Angel diplomacy window didn't pop up.
                          • Olympus Academy completes probe team. Production set to formers. Probe team moving towards Gythium Harbour, where the transport will be completed next year.
                          • Chiron Knights popped the unity pod on fungus and got an alien artifact!!!
                          • Fiona, Rolling Thunder (next to pod now) and first artifact moving home.
                          • Tomcat-2 tried to move to the mineral bonus tile, but failed this turn. It's now in OA, so it'll certainly get there next turn.
                          • The new scout patrol from SC2 meant for garrison duty in OA isn't necessary yet this year, so I let it upgrade morale to commando (+) at the monolith between OA and SC1.
                          • SCC Invincible repairing.
                          • R-112 moving further north. I guess eventually we should run into a Hive unit, and hopefully Yang will ask us to withdraw. I fear if we would ask him to withdraw, he could declare vendetta.
                          • Tomcat-1 started cultivating a farm in the crater center.
                          • SC3 production hurried for 10 credits. Colony pod will now be complete next year.
                          • Warwag moving to the SC2 monolith for an upgrade to elite status.

                            Battle Report MY 2133

                            • SC3 CP and GH transport production finished and now set to respectively another CP in SC3 and a scout patrol in GH (placeholder - mineral prodcution is 2, so we have four turns to decide what to do based on what needs arise the next few turns).
                            • R-112 tries to move north but bounces on the fungus. That bouncing still revealed some squares though: Monsoon Jungle spotted.
                            • Transport with probe team sent off to Great Collective.
                            • SC3 CP moved to its base founding location.
                            • Second southern alien artifact, Chiron Knights and Fiona moving home.
                            • SC2 former production hurried with 3 credits.
                            • GH scout patrol and Shrek switch position. Scout patrol rehomed to SC2.
                            • Warwag upgrades to elite, and is ready to attack any worm next to OA.
                            • SC2 scout patrol moves to SC1 and rehomes to there. Shinsengumi moves to Olympus Academy and waits there to strike at the worms next turn.
                            • Tomcat-2 rehomes to OA and then proceeds to build a road between SC2 and SC1/OA.
                            • Rolling Thunder attacks and defeats the easternmost mind worm for 10 credits. Health then reduced to 50%.
                            • Then I pressed "Turn Complete" and it was Planet's turn to attack. First the spore launcher bombarded Rolling Thunder. Then the western mind worm attacked and defeated RT. The worm was heavily in the red though. The southern mind worm then moved IIRC SE, so that one Shinsengumi can attack next turn.

                              Battle Report MY 2134

                              • As already known, Rolling Thunder destroyed.
                              • SC2 builds former Tomcat-4. That one helps Tomcat-2 to complete the road between SC2 and SC1/OA. SC2 production set to probe team.
                              • Morganites have obtained Doctrine: Mobility. Morganites have also started constructing the WP, ME and HGP. Would they really already have enough crawlers to finish all of those? To be continued next year no doubt.
                              • Angels have shrunk to population size 6. Some serious expansion??
                              • OA has grown to size 2. Second worker put on the rocky minerals tile.
                              • Probe taskforce moving further towards Great Collective. Unless a unit is placed in the way, we should be able to infiltrate the Hive next year.
                              • Nutrient forest near SC4 finished. SC4 worker switched from crater farm (now free for new base) to nutrient forest.
                              • Fort Buster (suggestion of Zeiter IIRC) founded and production set to formers. The worker working the crater farm => base production 2-4-3 (minus one for inefficiency => 2-4-2). As a consequence of passing the bureaucracy limit, we got an extra drone in SC2.
                              • R-112 succesfully moved onto the fungus tile.
                              • Alien artifact moved deeper into our territory, into SC2. IIRC artillery (such as spore launchers are) can destroy artifacts with one bombard attack, so I wouldn't want to take any risks.
                              • Shinsengumi flamed the eastern mind worm for 10 credits worth of planetpearls. 30% damage.
                              • Warwag moved into Olympus Academy for garrison duty.
                              • 1st Infantry (scout patrol) and Shrek changed spots again between GH and SC2.
                              • SC3 production set to scout patrol. FB former production hurried with 15 credits. SC1 CP production hurried with 24 credits. Still 41 credits in reserve.
                              • Units not yet moved: Shrek, 1st Infantry (in SC2), Warwag, Shinsengumi. Reason I waited: how should we handle the drones?
                              • When I ask Yang for a credits-for-tech exchange, he tells me "I fear you have no knowledge which interests me, Colonel Santiago." Whether that means he already has Doc:Mob or simply doesn't want it, is of course another question. One that hopefully will be answered next year after infiltration.
                              • After I clicked "Turn complete", it was the native life's turn again. And they have been most friendly to us. The worm moved east and the spore launcher south, meaning they are both on the same tile and can be flamed by one rover.

                                • Probe taskforce moved to a position of which infiltration would have been possible... if it were not for the Hivean synthmetal sentinels blocking the way. Infiltration should hopefully be possible next year by moving W-S-S.
                                • SC1 completes colony pod and FB formers. Production in those bases set to scout patrols.
                                • Hmm, I made a mistake while moving the R-112. I moved north, thinking that the rover could then follow the river upwards. Turns out that square was rocky, ending the unit's turn. Sorry, I didn't see it with that monsoon jungle blocking the view.
                                • Warwag toasted the two remaining worms for 20 credits. 20% damage taken.
                                • Two formers (T-2 & T-4) moved to Olympus Academy. Both failed to use their last remaining 1/3 of a movement point to move on the rocky square.
                                • Tomcat-5 (new from FB) moves SW and starts building a road.
                                • Tomcat-1 moved north to begin with a farm cultivation next year.
                                • Chiron Knights backtracked its movements to rejoin with the artifact.
                                • SC1 CP and 2nd Infantry moved to Olympus Academy. 2nd Infantry rehomed to OA, so that SC1 would have a higher mineral production, enabling it to complete a scout patrol before SC2 grows. Here too both failed to use their last 1/3 of a MP to move out of OA.
                                • Shinsengumi moves into OA and rests.
                                • Former production hurried in Olympus Academy.
                                • The Morganites stopped building their three SPs. The UoP are still building the Humane Genome Project though.
