    Dear Director Mead,

Thank you very much for the technology, map and Peacekeepers commlink, which you have forwarded to us. We appreciate this last possibility of trade with you. We also confirm receiving from you the offer of possible research trade you indicated, which might lead to choppers. We will discuss it and respond to you within several RL days.

We presently do not posses and are not researching Synthetic Fossil Fuels (SFF).

Regarding Pact, as we stated recently, our current situation has not change significantly since we last talked about it. Entering the Pact with you will require appropriate diplomacy including other factions. We are presently discusing it within our faction. We cannot enter the Pact with you at this moment but we will keep up to date with the state of our efforts towards this goal.

        Latest exchange with Geo

I would be willing to share the complete intel picture only if we are in Pact. There is a lot to share.

Atrocities aside, I am impressed over how the Spartans carried out the attack.

I think you should want to get the info. Not only is it interesting (if we were not the victim I would say entertaining perhaps), but based upon their capabilities and temperment, it also is a good indication of what you may be facing from them yourself in about 3 turns.

I heard that someone said that they called themselves the most evil faction on planet. I don't know if they did. One thing that I can say for sure is that they are ruthless.

        Hi Mead,

I received your PM and posted the proposal for discussion in our diplomatic thread.

Am I correct in assuming that you're willing to give us info regarding the raid on Morgan Industries without us entering a Pact?

I wondered what more info you could give us, for if you had discovered the Spartans' forces the turn before, you would have made their raid a whole lot more difficult... Also, Whoha's claim that they attacked with gatling rovers is seen in that light intriguing.

Mead, the Corporation really seem intend on dragging the Data Angels already in this conflict.

Do you think your faction is in that weak a position? What help do you think the Data Angels can offer, being sofar away from the Spartan homeland?
          Geo

The Spartans have created a streamroller. Because of this they will bring the conflict to you whether you want it.

We do not need or request that you to go to war with the Spartans. Please feel free to maintain peace (as long as you can) with them. We ask that you not to assist them. If their track record towards us is any indication, they will encrouch upon you and then attack.

The help we seek from you is:

          A Pact so that we both get additional commerce income;

          Mutual Tech trades and mutual rapid tech development plan up the tech tree;

Mutual Early warnings of Spartan and other faction military movements; and

An exchange of Strategic and Tactical advice on how to proceed in general.

          Mead

PS (Really, Really, Really off the Record)

Although the Morgan is 'not quite dead yet' if we were to not survive, a number of us would hope that there would be at least one faction that we could go to that would be able to stand up to Sparta. Because of DA is the farthest from Sparta, it stands the best chance of living. But even with the distance, if DA does not accelerate its development now, even the its remoteness from Sparta will not save it.

          PPS

I do not know your defense preparations, but it may be wise to establish a robust defense in key bases easily accessible by sea as soon as you can.

            From Geo.

From the below I can see that he's saying that they have agreements with Sparta. They are probably being feed info from Sparta.

            RE: Re: off the record

They will encroach upon us for sure if we break contacts and agreements. You might be thinking we don't 'accelerate' our growth fast enough, but fact is that we simply do our best.

Can't comment yet on whether or not ex-Morgans will be welcome, it depends on what the moderator says, and the opinion of a majority within the Data Angels.

You guys still have 15+ bases upthere, isn't it then a bit premature talking about defeat? In two-three turns you can have a HQ again and be on the economic track again if you choose so.

Can you please ask politely about the probe team on the foil?

And if they still don't realize the need for a pact the Hive will have D:AP in six years. Dunno whether we should mention it though.

                  Apologies for the inconvenience

                  Boardmembers of the Corporation,

We feel an apology is in order as one of our transports seems to be obstructing one of your transport vessels on it's present course.

We hope this will not profoundly block the arrival time on it's port of origin.

Since our transport is in your territorial waters, we feel as well an explanation of it's presence there is in order.

It is so that only last turn (2161) we got confirmation on who occupied the land it was sailing to at first due to our world map exchange. We promptly decided to change it's course and let it head to the University of Planet's territory in order to let our junior students onboard have a field practice in that area of Planet.

Again, our apologies for any inconvenience

                  Regards,

Be advised that there is a Spartan Missile Cruiser operating in the waters north of you. We do not know how far north of you it is. The last time we saw it it was [(6)-2-6, Commando, 30% damaged]. With the MCC it might still be able to move 8 squares. Note, the Spartans are running Funde and with the MCC and their morale bonus, all the ships they made since they got the MCC are at least commando morale. With the Command Nexus, funde, Spartan morale bonus, and monoliths, all thier land units appear to be Elite.

Please let me know if circumstances have changed allowing you to enter into a Pact. There is a substantial amount of infomation that we can provide to you if we were in a Pact. In particular, we may be able to provide you both detailed information about Spartan dispositions that may aid your defense, as well as detailed infomation that may aid you in your borrowing activities at the University libraries (some of the libraries have been know to have Uni and Spartan probes studying in the bookstacks or nearby).

                    Mead

                    PS
Remember, any Spartan ship you see will probably be at least Commando with a 2+ MCC movement bonus. Any Spartan land unit you see will be at least Commando and probably Elite with the 1+ movement bonus.

                      To Geo

                      Geo

We have recently come into possession of the Spartan map.

                      It is scary.

In addition to thier own continent they have, with the exception of three cities, taken Uni.

They have taken the Borehole cluster, Unity wreckage, Manifold Nexus, and a phenomenal amount of territory. They are now just north of you. One of their large bases, Fort Superioity is a size 6 base north of you.

I hope to share the map with you in order to convince you of the dangerousness of the situation.

If you accept the Pact we will again give you a copy of our map in return for your map. Please note that our map has been sustantially updated since our last trade.

                      Mead

                      PS
I'll see if I can get screenshots of it made and sent over to you before you post your turn.

                      PPS
Do you have infiltration of Sparta yet? If so, you should be able to see what they are doing.

I posted it in the appropriate thread. 't Will be talked about (again), but no-one of the team seems online atm.

Our pact with Lal showed us already a lot more mapinfo, but if you think you can see something about the Spartans we can't with his mapinfo, a screenshot would be welcome.

May I ask if one of the Corporate ships popped a pod during your turn?

You already know of the extent of Sparta's strength?

I propose went enter into a mutual three-way pact with DA, Gaia, and Morgan to last a specific amount of time (say 15 years, I'm sure there is a time period that we can all agree on). Perhaps, with the mutual Pact, we can all survive the Spartan onslaught.

With a Pact we would be much more free to share the location and operations of our units. Which pod are you refering to? Where?

                          Sent this to Geo

                          Greetings Geo,

as announced by CDO Mead a short time ago, I proudly present the latest map of the whole Spartan and their pet's ally's territory (Uni) and all their bases, obtained by a joint venture by our Diplomacy and Covert Ops Law Departments.

Our Design and Imaging Department worked hard to create one 100% accurate overall map out of several chunks of partial data. You might need to increase the zoom factor to view the map details on opening the file.

Areas where information wasn't completely conclusive are intentionally left blank to avoid being sued for providing false information and causing general confusion. Luckily, no relevant information appears to be missing though.

If there any questions, please feel free contact our Support and Helpdesk Department. This map is provided with a one Planet year warranty. No refunds.

Appearantly still not strong enough to take Morgan bases without punishment. Our worldmap showed no change of owner in Corporate territory, and such things are shown when it happens even if we (Angels) don't receive a yearly update from whoever has an up-to-date map of Corporate territory.
