I support arginine here. It is risky, since it means having a direct land front to the SPartans, but we might get infiltration and some more land. Also our lawyers would get higher morale after successfull ops...

I'm leary of grabbing Uni land unless we get an alliance or something close to it with the Spartans. Having a shared border would make us vulnerable to Sparta's mighty military.

No-one has said if we can actually fit a true borehole/super ICS grid without compromising our cities. I'll try and check it soonish, but no promises, since I have to work.

I had tried making up a grid (see the city planning thread), but I didn't take into account the elevations.

I think arginine posted a base and borehole grid that was almost ideally packed. It included existing bases. Not sure which thread it's in, though.

Nor am I, jtsisyoda, but the way we have our SPs means we would have to sac a project to force a grid, and that's not going to happen.

Our borehole grid won't be PERFECT, but what's important is that we can build around it in the future.

On a side note, we might want to make a few forest bases while we can still pop boom...
