I have a little time to make a short turn report now.

Most of things I did are visible in the endturn attached - some rushes, some former orders.

    Military:

Discovered a Morganic Foil with a probe on it with our IoD in far north and decided to stay in fungus nearby just to see foil being destroyed by Hive foil at the endturn.

    Coords: 29, 35

Discovered DA probe foil at 71, 67, provided air cover with one of our missile penetrators.

Moved our foil into fungus right near the sensor - a good position if anything comes up right next turn.

    Research:

    Was presented following choices:

    D:I
    Cent Med
    Opt Comp
    Adapt Doctr
    MMI
    ProgPsych
    Cybereth

(my choice bolded, was discussed with CT as best)

Rushed a creche and a hab complex to extend our pop booms. Continued pumping out clean formers and crawlers.

After the end of the turn, about 15 Hive needlejets came out of a city just east of our IoD. One of them killed a Morganic probe foil. Informed the Morganites via PM to AndiD.

Raised our tech rate from less than 1 per 6 turns to about 1 per 5.5 turns. This will be handy when the Angels drop some tech on us.

Rushed a net node and two creches to boost research and population.

Continuing to escort Angel probe foil along our coast.

Spartans probably destroyed the Angel probe foil with a 1-1-4 we spotted near the Hive/Gaian border.

Continuing to push the pop boom, but shifting towards a combat footing.

Prepared a drop-clean former for the Angels.

Geez, The Morganites are really playing a sloppy game.

Rushed a creche to extend pop booming.
Concentrating more on defense on our east coast.
Received a drop probe garrison from the Angels, unannounced.
Captured another IoD with our IoD.
              Generally confused about the Angels.

Received Cyberethics and PSA from Angels. Switched research to Orbital Spaceflight - 3 turns away.

Spartans finished the HSA. The Angels had rushed the HSA on their turn. Now they'll have to switch. They have the Neural Amplifier as an option, and possibly have other choices.

Saving up ECs to prepare for when we get Orbital Spaceflight.

Trivia: for whatever reasons, the Angels have nearly twice our tech cost. They are researching Fusion Power, but will probably never finish.

Spotted a Spartan probe-2t-6 elite between ex-Uni and Morganite lands. Didn't bother to ask about attacking it, since we'd lose. Tried to hide from it.

Accepted Morganic trade of PSA for Superconductor, granting each of us both prereqs for Fusion Power.

Transferred our promised drop-clean former to the Angels.

Doubling our Network Node count next turn.

                    Pop booming continues.

                    Angels switched to Neural Amp.

                    Saving ECs for satellites (2193).

                    • More IoD exploration. Sooner or later the Spartans should get the idea to attack something to complain about it, but they'd attack anyway.

Building up air defenses and counterattack capability.

Orbital Spaceflight next turn. All set to shoot a satellite up very quickly.

Bumper crops at our biggest city! As a result of taking workers off unnecessary nutrient tiles, that city is having a research boom, and will be an excellent source of colony pods for a while. Perfect timing with satellites going up. 272 tech/turn at the end of the turn, in contrast to 242 at the start.

Continued pop booming, despite cities reaching size 7. 111 citizens this turn, compared to 105 last turn.

                      • Bases are reaching size 6 (our drone control capacity) and 7 (hab limits), so the pop boom has temporarily cooled down. Population 116 this turn. We should have one or two nutrient satellites by 2195.

Picked Fusion Power to research next - 5 years anticipated until completion. We're beating even the Morganites on tech rate, by a lot. 305 tech/turn now. We can leap up the tree to energy satellites fairly quickly, with the help of engineers. Unfortunately, the Spartans have had Orbital Spaceflight for a while, and I'm worried about Planet Busters.

                        • Population 120.
Rushed two nutrient satellites; Sparta has two now.
Found a couple of Spartan units east of their territory. We might evade detection.

                          • Population 125.
Rushed a couple of TF, a couple of ACs and 1 Hab Complex (for even more pop).
                            Voted for Yang.
Got the entire map. Spartans have a bunch of very big bases.
IoDs heading home - they can be a good defensive asset and we know everything we can about Sparta anyways.
A couple of units visited monoliths. Many more would need to.

                            • Population 129

                              Rushed 4 hab complexes.

We should turn our thoughts to Yang at about this point, and seize some of his lucrative possessions. This might precipitate a war with Sparta, so we need to produce new units to go after Yang, and even more for our own defense.

In accordance with our prior agreement, sent Orbital Spaceflight to the Angels. I threw in the map, since they'd get it soon enough anyway.

Sunspots! That means the Morganites will be deprived of Fusion Power for a little while (and can't leapfrog), and the Angels will not have it for quite a while, unless they drop-probe with our consent.

I propose we start building a serious army next turn.
With atrocities off, the Spartans are sure to go after us soon. Fusion reactors make our troops much more economical. Abundant ECs from engineers will allow us to burn through facilities. If we build an army and the Spartans haven't yet attacked us, we go after Yang.
