• If calculations are correct, the FTSP will hit the second pod on 2107, the year we make our first breakthrough. That's good timing. As no other pods are in range, we are fairly 'safe' unless we discover a worm. In the case of a worm either north or south I reccomend waiting 1 more turn before popping another pod.

    Outline of 2106:

IndSP North or NE or NW to troll the river
FTSP south towards pod
No changes in production or SE or Sliders
GL Former continues solar panel
Workers are both on 2-1-0s
We're ready I think. Just have to wait another 40 hours or so. I'm updating the turn-play prediction schedule now.

      • Gaia’s Landing produces 2 minerals per turn and will have 10 minerals on 2109. A solar collector on 2110 may double GL’s lab output to 4 per turn. GL will have 16 minerals when it grows to size 2 on 2112. Unless the 2107 pod pop resulted in an improved tile, lab output will not increase despite the new worker and mineral production will increase to only 3 per turn.

CP’s cost 30 minerals and formers cost 20 minerals.

Fallow Times accumulates 2 minerals per turn and will have 11 minerals on 2110. It will grow to size 2 on 2115 and will have 20 minerals accumulated. Without intervention, the best available tile for the new worker will be a 2-1-0.

With the river north of Fallow Times it seems obvious that FT must build a CP ASAP.

Our present tech cost is 14. The Spartans now have Centauri Ecology and are in the tech lead. On 2107 we find out our new cost of research and the pod pop results. We must await developments.

We are significantly behind every faction on the power graph save one, The PK’s

        • How do you know the Spartans have CentEco? I must get on my spyglasses.....

It's good to be last in power for a little while. Keeps the flies away.

          • ut oh, I hope it's not cheating. I opened the comm link and clicked on "offer all tech". We didn't offer Cent Eco which meant they already had it.

            • I would guess that's out of bounds. Good to bring it up. I'll go peruse the rules.

              • I see nothing against it in the rules or rules discussion

Drogue, is this way of getting information allowed?

                    • Houston, we've got a problem!

I think we have no choice but to move our former into Gaia's Landing where it will defend as well as a scout patrol against that Spore Launcher. We should still move the FTSP S and if we don't find a MW, move it E into Gaia's landing next turn. I like moving the ISP N and trolling the Ebb & Flow River with it next turn, but moving it NE or NW now is ok with me too. Finally, change production in FT to a CP. I'd also like to change production in GL to either a scout ot former but I'll defer to others on it.

                          • Plan of Action for 2107

                            Proposal:

Move scout patrol into Gaia's Landing in preparation for attacking the spore launcher there as one of the last actions in 2108 (keeping alive the possibility of capturing a mind worm as long as possible). Move the former there into a rainy-rolling tile in preparation for constructing a solar panel there.

Use northern scout patrol to move along river three tiles, attacking (and presumably converting) any native life found on the way regardless of hastiness.

No opinion on production in the cities until I review minerals accumulated, minerals/turn, and possibilities.

When Info Nets is discovered, pick Planetary Nets next if there's a choice (assuming this doesn't blow up beelines).
