We are all here to learn though. So if it is not team specific, rather it is general game related, as long as Kody will post the same thing in all the teams, I wouldn't say it is not a good thing for people who are here to learn.

Still former. We can get a scout patrol from the second base if we want one then, and we'll only get 1 EC when completing a scout patrol.

If no one objects, I'll move the scout patrol first, then found base #1 when I play the turn, to try to increase whatever odds we have of finding native life.

We agree. Be sure to post a presend here, just after you do that, so that we analyse new data . BTW, how much longer until you are able to play the turn

It seems that Kody delayed creation of science department for a week. Ah well, thanks on the behalf of Gaians.

Agree r/e move Spatrol first, then found base if looking for MW.

Agree that Kody should either be on the team or not 'drop hints'

Agree with Obstructor's western square analysis.

              Concede: Former building not harmful

Tech: Infonets (blech, IB would be better)

Our starting tech cost is 14. I have not selected a tech yet, not that it would cost anything to change it in 2101.

I guess that we should move CP south then. Should we explore UP next turn hoping for Monolith/Bonuses or leave it for the time when we have Biogenetics and try to get Recycling tanks then? Anyway, because of the fungus in north I propose building second base somewhere south.

Sorry one of the other teams requested their starting techs so they could coordinate the mod3 beelines. Other teams also wanted to know and are waiting for their turn so I thought I might as well tell them so they can fill in time.

Science department should be created soon as other science departments have already been working flat out.

Well, I have no doubt we would ask you in a week or two.

I suggest moving the CP north. Our third CP can take advantage of the greenery to our west-southwest. Unless it's all fungus to the north, and even then with Gaian fungal-munching, north is access to contact, future, and tasty looking western slopes. South is probably coastline and of course the south pole. Getting our northern limits clear is the biggest priority IMHO. But moving west (you said south, did you mean that?) has the advantage of being a little bit of a known quantity. So I'm fine with that if that's what everyone wants. North seems right to me though.

After doing research in GAIA, I would tend to agree that, since it is obvious where most fertile land is, we must move to north as fast as possible. However, I am still worried that there is a fungal wall, so we need to keep Scout nearby.

Northwestish looks fine to me, then. I propose we move pod #2 on top of the scout, and next turn move both north. In the coming turns, we should rush the former as soon as possible and start on a solar panel to get a 2-1-2 tile. Once the former is built, we can build a scout patrol to check out the east or serve as police, or we can start on a CP immediately (though we will need a doctor for at least a few turns in that case).

Though we don't really need to decide this until next turn, which tech is best, according to the beelines? Getting PlaNets too early isn't much of a help, unless we pop an energy credit pod, but getting IndEcon is of no direct benefit. Based on GAIA, we shouldn't have any next-door neighbors, so we can afford to skimp on defense for the time being. Based on that, I'd be inclined towards InfoNet as the first tech.

I concur. If we can then pop some free Net Nodes from there, we're well on our way in the early game!
