The discussion in Kody's mag indicates that currently the Spartans are the only faction that has displayed interest in inter-team stories and debating. Should enough factions develop an interest to merit lifting the moratorium, I would be very willing to participate in these. Who else within our faction would like to?

I'm only planning to write a story like above for each issue Kody brings out, next to some advertizing off course.

I'm afraid that debating is not my thing, so count me out for that.

Debate most certainly... I don't have enough time to write any stories though...

A second story for the Pholus Newscast for clearance, grammar corrections are welcome...

009 watched 024 and 042 stop beside him before taking a last look at
It would be a while before he saw the base back, being asked to escort 024 and 042 on the first part of their mission, and to report back to 001 upon his return not only for how the mission started but to map the terrain inbetween as well...

009 drinked in the view, sighted, and stepped in the speeder with the other two operatives. The first two days they would pass known terrain since earlier scouts already made quite some reports about this part of Planet. He didn't envy their part of the mission since it was not only dangerous, but might be suicidial as well knowing the historic mores within the target, labeled for now. But those two where the only operatives within the Angels with the perfect background to blend in. So at least they had a chance, and the potential rewards of having them in would be tremendous.

After some days driving the landscape changed tremendously. On the coastal plains where was situated only a hint of the highland after it could be seen on the horizon, but after crossing the barrier the land became truly alien. It was dryer uphere, the barrier ranges stopped a lot of the sweeping rainstorms offen experienced. Beside the occasional snowflake (much colder on the plateau) no downpour happened here. The native growth known as Xenofungus had other proportions as well. In the lowlands around it was only low growth, not higher then bushsize and patched here and there. But uphere it became a forest on his own, not only in size, but as well in covering the plateau. Luckily the fungal outcrops only happened on sunlit places. The terrain was criscrossed by crevices and narrow ravines, making it possible to negate the Fungal forests. 009 took vidfeeds from the land as they passed by.

          >fung_sm.pcx picture<

The ravines had their own hazards of course, but the rovers' balloon tires were made to deal with small rubble. Luckily the route they found through this labyrinth wasn't blocked by large boulders. Erosion was only a slow mechanism here.

After crossing the fungal plateau the land descended once more into gentle slooped valleys with the occasional river meandering through it. This would be a prime site for future colonisation, that was sure. But this also meant that the target was near now. The coordinates indicated by rogue transmissions from the target were near now...
Finally, at the fifteenth day of their journey, they found it, . It lay halfway a broad river and a stipendous mountain range behind it. It was time for business now. 042 and 024 dressed in their camouflage outfit, while 009 checked for a vantage point on which he could follow their progress towards . After all preparations were done, both operatives hiked down, using the land to approach the base unspotted. 009 could spot their progress without much trouble. After a few hours he observed both 024 and 042 near an unobtrusive entrance point, saw them opening it, and disappearing... 024 and 042 had now accomplished the first part of their mission, but for all outsider purposes, they just had vanished in the bowels of the Hive. Hopefully it wouldn't be permanent...

I would avoid screenshots of the game like that. Using graphics from the game is okay, but if you start taking game screenshots like that it will start people thinking that this has some ingame relevance.

I've got an interesting military looking base entrance that is dug into a mountain I can give you. I'll see if I can find something else I can add.

Just a couple of minor tweaks (changed off to of)... think that was about it. As always, enjoyed it.

And so what if they think it's ingame relevance? Just have the Hive base named something like "no, not really" and everybody should get it.

That's one of the reasons I make this, Kody... Let the other teams wonder...

We simply return the favour of Sparta's latest story.

Can you post here or sent me the military pic you mentioned? If it looks better then a Hive base screenshot IMO, I'm ok with it.

One Hivish looking base coming up.

By the way I'm not sure when the next newscast will be. I've been kindof busy recently with work.

I'm ok with it. It may even be smaller then that size for me.
You're ok with the 'fungusgrowth' pic where indicated?

And about your workload: don't worry, I know that if we yell hard enough you'll start on it.

                      Thanks for the corrections, FF
