    Are you still in chat?

    Agree with founding western pod where it is, Agree with moving eastern pod along river. Then we should hold for further views and to let Geo and Shiny have a say. We do have time. But agree that Eastern cp should probably be our HQ

    How about calling HQ Variation and the second base Nimrod

        HQ founded near the land, the rainy tiles, away from fungus, and near the Canyon.
        It was an easy choice.

        The Spatrol and Probe teams are awaiting moves.

        I suggest we pop the Westpod with the Scout, and the Riverpod with the Probe team, then explore the river.
        Comments?

        EDIT: The first turn is moot and will be replayed by Drogue. No point hogging 'poly space with uploads.

          I agree, for the reasons we both cited in the turnchat -- we'll explore a lot faster with our fastest unit taking advantage of the fastest route. Let the probe team explore upriver, and have the scout pop the western pod. Unless it sights another pod after that, we'll likely want to start moving it back to pop the fungus pod next turn.

                Ok, posted some comments in the CLASSIFIED - turn 2101 thread.

                Do we plan on making a new thread for every turn or use the same thread for midposts, comments and the Sinder's turn report? I prefer the latter since it ensures some continuity and easier reference.

                      Here's what I was thinkin:
                      Name HQ after first turnplayer
                      Second base after second turnplayer
                      Third base after the Moderator
                      Then bases 4,5,6 can be Rock, Paper and Scissors.

                        ~END TURN~

                        Here's the vitals:
                        2 Monoliths, bases working them.
                        There's a pod at 21,63 that we don't know about yet
                        There was also river at 21,69 which has vanished.

                        Both bases are producing Probe teams, so we can go infiltrate stuff.
                        Sliders at 30/10/60 for tech in 5 - the fastest I could do.

                        Base names are Enigma Machine and Kahlua Probing.
                        That said, I post the turn for you all to look at.

                          ~Discussion moves to turn 2102~

                          Bases are producing Probe Teams - this is to infiltrate the other factions. Factions are probably on the 4 isles surrounding the central Mt. Planety isle.

                          Since we're likely to meet The Hive first, we'll probably end up walking through their territory to get to the others. This will be hard with automated units on patrol, so we can expect casualties.

                          I suggest the Scout Patrol goes to Kahlua Probing and explores the river downstream.
                          The Probe team (IMO) should go 2 squares south and scout out the unexplored area.

                          Popping a unity pod will give us 1 tech. If we are able to pop 5 pods over the next 3 years, we will get IB one turn early.
                          Bases are working the monoliths (d'uh) with energy allocated 30/10/60 for the fastest labs rate.

                          Any alternate plans are requested.
