Give me a tall one, I have just been de facto relieved of military service In the Finnish Defence Forces, of course, not in the Spartan Federation. They'll call me up again in 2006 and if my condition is unchanged (most likely) the coveted "C paper" will be in my hands.

In my case it was simple, doctors thought I couldn't carry a large backpack.

Ditto here, I have kyphosis. I can't carry loads or walk distances. Well, I can, but it'll hurt like ****.

It's not really my back, but a length difference in my legs. I'm happily tramping around with medium loads, but have to watch out on flat terrain. Rolling terrain is usually no problem.

Why should I? The civil service option is not for the impaired, it's for those ethically opposed to military service.

I'm not saying you should elect to do it if you don't have to. I was just thinking because of your back you can't walk or carry things, why doesn't the system just get you to do civil service instead, unless your disability prohibits that too?

And I never 'learned' to booz properly as well that way.

Don't get this, I'm afraid... Do you mean you signed up for the military for 3 years, or delayed your military 'obligation' for 3 years (don't know if GB is still under conscription)?

We don't have conscription. I mean I've filled in all the forms for what I'll be doing the next three years of my life - university
