I wouldn't call it a mistake. It was simply another option, but the others opted for the other option. Mead has always been a valuable player in the Hive, game play wise AND role play wise. He is one of the stabling forces in the team.

Indeed he was. He actually let his judgement control his actions rather than the heat of the moment.

I'm not too fond of nonfeeling machines.
I tend to throw my heart and my head into any problem I attack.

Well... whatever wins the games wins 'em.

EDIT: 'poly needs a  smile! :dointnow!:

RL required me to leave home for a few months.

While away I had intermittent access to the internet and I was unable to get my Laptop to run SMAX so I was unable to participate as much as I wanted to.

I still got onto the internet from time to time and offered my input on the overall strategy of the Hive (because I was unable to view the saves my input was limited to my memory of the the saves and the descriptions in the threads).

I remained a member of the Hive for the duration of the game.

In RL I have returned home and once again have access to SMAX. I will work to see if I can reconfigure my Windows XP Celeron equipped to run SMAX so I don't run into the same problem again. I'll check out the threads in the General/Strategy forum.

GL running SMAX on XP. I believe you will need it.

I just don't get this. I there really a widespread problem? Have I got access to the only two XP computers in existence that can play SMAX?

I have the third one. Never have had a problem of any kind.

I guess the ones with problems are the small but vocal minority.

I don't recall having any great difficulty getting SMAX running under XP. Still works fine.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Very well... there are just some people who can't operate their XP correctly.
                        Probably full of spyware.

*segues back onto topic* And the best faction to ferret out that spyware -- the Data Angels, of course!

On a less humorous note, there is a patch on Firaxis's website for those who can't get SMAC or SMAX to work in XP.
