          • U.N. HEADQUARTERS, Mission Date 21650403 – A few hours ago our Lt-Col. Kassiopeia safely arrived at the Peacekeeper capital, where he will assist Brother Lal in preparing the peace conference. Upon landing he heard the news our pactmate Lal had just been elected governor in the planetary council holomeeting. After the official welcoming ceremony, Lt-Col Kassiopeia congratulated Governor Lal with his new function, and extended our gratitude to all factions who voted for him. He added that the Spartan Federation would be most willing to aid Lal in his task by providing the necessary forces to send out peacekeeping missions. To which governor Lal, who was present on the press meeting, replied he gladly accepted the Spartan offer, so that justice and freedom could soon prevail over all of Chiron.

If you were a regular PBEMer you'd never ask this question. It's almost in every game where there's possibility for such bug.

You see, AI turns are processed when the human before it in turn order hits endturn. As Zakh is after Gaia, he called council during our turn. The only player to see the council message correctly is the human player hitting the endturn. All players after that see not AIs' name, but the humans' in the council elections' header.
I've got this 4 times recently.

              • I can confirm this. In games I've CMN'd, the same question has arisen, and binTravkin is correct. The calling of elections is always attributed to a human player even when the AI is responsible

                • Ah thanks for the explanation. As you deduced, I'm no regular PBEMer.

I'm trying to start a new PBEM here, but there seems to be little interest.

                  • Is it 24h or 48h for a turn now?
Seems Spartan last turn was > 24h..

                    • Turns are nominally 48 hours, and have been since the start, though early on we had extremely fast turns.

                              • Sorry guys, I got held up at a meeting which started 2and half hours late and finished just now. I thought that it would've been over long ago.

Just putting the finishing touches to the end save to end the turn. I will send the turn very shortly.

                                Once again my apologies.
