  • This just came in from GeoModder:

    University surrender:

Members of the Central Continuing Committee of the Human Hive.

The Planetary University of Technology acknowledges hereby it's military defeat against the combined forces of the Human Hive and the Drones. As a consequence of this the Planetary University of Technology is willing to break the links with it's Cybernetic Consciousness Unification partner, meaning that no military backup or transfer of info and energy will be received anymore, nor sent. As stated when the Unification found place, the Planetary University of Technology is allowed to go it's own way whenever it's citizens see fit. This time seems to have come now.

In light of this the Planetary University of Technology asks the terms of surrender of the Human Hive, as well asks if a surrender to the Human Hive automatically means surrender to the Drones as well, so that our last city wouldn't fall because of bad military communications between the Hive-Drone alliance.

Also, the Caboolture City Council wishes to make clear that no heavy assault troops will be trained as long as the status of the Planetary University of Technology isn't clear, thus in essence as long as the surrender talks are in progress.

We sent what you composed with minor modifications to take into account Buster's suggestions.

                  • Sorry forgot to save it. But it was just the one you wrote with a line or two at the end.

                    • No problem. Just thought that I'd try to keep everything recorded.

                      • Sounds good, then. My apologies again on not being around for that.

                        • Reply from the University:
The Caboolture City Council has received the harsh demands the Central Continuing Committee of the Human Hive put forward.
Although PUT is forced to acknowledge the defeat, it does not mean that it should suddenly turn against it's longterm ally the CyCon by fighting them. Nor is PUT in any condition to fight a war with whomever. We hope that the Hive/Drone alliance can offer the same clementie as CPU once offered PEACE, as in becoming a small neutral state with no submission to anyone. To ensure the continuing survival of our city, good relations should be maintained with all warring factions in this part of the planet, as that nor the Hive/Drone alliance, nor the Cybernetic Consciousness will 'accidently' or 'strategically' make use of Caboolture.
We await the Committees response on this.

                          • I see no reason to accept their proposal. We did not perhaps make it clear enough that the message we sent was not so much an offer as an ultimatum. We can go so far as to nor require any military obligations on their part [which we were not intending to do so anyway] but the remaining University should come under the joint jurisdiction of the Human Hive and Free Drones. The CyCon may be trying to get us to give into their proposals because if we do if gives them the chance to use the University as a means by which to get infiltration data on us. We’ll formulate an official response tomorrow, right now I must get to sleep. Good night all.

                            • We said surrender or be eliminated. They are in no position to negotiate. I say we ask tass to order an replay of the PUT turn. Since they have decided not to surrender, they need to self destruct.
