Finally got some time to look at the turn. I have made a summary for each faction. I hope this info would help us to remember what has been going on in the game. Also, since there are a few new people joining in, I think this may be helpful for them to get into the game.

Later I will try to write a summary of diplomatic situation of the Hive with other teams.

One thing I know for sure is that in Kody's turn the university scout who withdrew from our land two turns ago relanded very closer to where it left. This to me is quite clear an evidence of their intention, instead of a mistake. However, I believe in Jamski's turn we didn't found that out (Jamski please confirm this) so I suspect we need to pretend that we don't know this and we can not do anything regarding this yet until we really find out perhaps in the next turn.

The Diplomatic Front 2145 - Drones

Relationship

We formed a pact in turn 2123. After a long while the Drones finally accepted Hive’s proposal of a permanent pact around turn 2135. The other teams are aware of the pact but not the depth of the pact.

We have been exchanging maps in the Drone Embassy instead of in game. Techs, prototyped units and other info are shared without conditions. We give Drones a probe foil so they could avoid flexibility. Currently we are doing leapfrog researching with us beeline to restriction lifting and they air power and MMI.

Comrade Kody has been acting as the Drones Ambassador. We may need to appoint a new Ambassador now that Kody has left the team.

Governor Election

Drones switched from FM to planned in 2145 and is expecting population growth of 5 per turn. In other words, they are expecting to surpass Angels in size year 2148 and surpass us around 2151. Currently (2145) they have 25 votes, by 2148 they would have 40, and by 2151 they would have 55. Angels have 40 right now. We have 46 right now. With the Hive rebuild and the planting of our current colony pods (3?) we would have 11 more votes. That means by 2151 we would at least have 57 votes. In addition assuming we would have avg. of 2 bases in pop booming we would also have an average 2 per turn growth. So by 2151 we could expect around 12 more votes from pop booming. That means by 2151 we could have about 70 votes.

The plan is to call a governor election around 2148 / 2149 with the two of us as candidate.

Currently Roze only lacks commlink of univ. But univ is pacted with PEACE so they could let Roze have univ commlink any time if they choose. Suppose Roze calls an election next turn, the two candidate will be Hive and Roze. Out of total 219 votes 46(Hive)+40(Roze)+31(Miriam)+26(PEACE)+25(Drones)+ 22(CC)+19(uni), we could secure 46(Hive)+25(Drones)+22(CC)=93 votes. If PEACE would vote for us then we have 119 votes. We will be ok. However, if PEACE choose to side with uni then we might lose the election if it is called early.

War Plan

Drones plan to invade uni in 20 turns with chop and drop. They expect to go in with 20 or more units and win the war in about 3 turns. Drones are not assuming our help but says if we could contribute choppers, drop units or planes it will be helpful. Their near term plan is to infiltrate the uni.

Drones intends to enter into a no-trading agreement with CC regarding HEC so that uni will not get techs that leads to Air power early. They have agreed that they will gift us +3 armor prototyped unit so that we don’t need to acquire HEC. Drones believes that it is best if we don’t tell CC about this possible prototype exchange.

The Diplomatic Front 2145 - PEACE

Relationship

We met PEACE in turn 2135. Chairman Voltaire has undertaken the role of PEACE Ambassador since the beginning.

The trade talk had not been very smooth. The PEACE appears to be wanting to milk as much as possible from everybody before they would actually agree to trade something. However PEACE proposed a pact very soon. After much debate the Hive agreed to a 35 year “research and non-agression pact” in turn 2141 (that means pact till 2176) and we traded Gene Splicing for Flexibility.

Marshal Rokossovky has recreated partial PEACE maps through infiltration information.

PEACE-CyCon incident

PEACE was pacted with CyCon at turn 2142. Apparently there were some bad incidents happened between the two factions and therefore the PEACE-CyCon pact was downgraded to a treaty in the following turn (2143). Our analysis is that CyCon had determined to break the pact when PEACE finally agreed to send CC Doc: Init. CyCon took it as free gift while breaking the pact anyway and also finished the Maritime Control SP since they have been accumulating minerals for a SP for a long time. PEACE was rather pissed off by this incident and deemed CyCon’s act as a cheat. The relationship seemed to be improved a little bit over time.

The Diplomatic Front 2145 - CyCon

Relationship

We obtained CyCon commlink from the Drones in turn 2143. A treaty was signed immediately. Comrade HongHu was assigned to be the CyCon Ambassador. The Embassy is located here.

The CyCons have been regarded as our soul mate from the very beginning of the game. The good feelings have been mutual. Shortly after contact the CyCons proposed us to enter joint-victory permanent pact. However since we have previously committed with the Drones, it becomes a challenge how we could form the best relationship with the CyCons without having to violate the Drones pact and risk undesirable consequences. A non permanent pact was offered to the CyCons with possibility to upgrade it in the future. The CyCons has chosen to delay pacting with us, because they need time to better prepare their bases from PEACE infiltration. (If CyCon pacts with us while we pact with PEACE presumably the CC info would be more accessible to the PEACE.) The discussion regarding whether to perm pact with CyCon is still going on. Choices are: Three way joint victory pact (still have not got Drone’s support on this); Stick with the Drones while be truthful or not truthful with CC; Perm pact with CC and break promise to the Drones.

Trading with CyCon

CyCon has offered to trade techs with us. Included in the proposal are Industrial Base, Social Psych and Doctrine: Initiative to trade for Doctrine: Loyalty, Ethical Calculus and Gene Splicing. We have stated that we do not want to trade because non of the techs they offer are needed immediately and we do not want to increase our research cost. However we have expressed our desire of trading prototyped unit with our tech(s). We need to follow up on this and letting CC know what prototype unit we desire and what tech we will offer them.

Governor Election

CyCon offered to vote for us on planetary governor elections in exchange for infiltration information for PUT and PEACE. They are still waiting for an official confirmation on this.

The Diplomatic Front 2145 - University

Relationship

A university scout appeared on our land in turn 2142. A treaty was offered with a demand that they remove the scout from our land. Comrade Octavian X was assigned to be the uni Ambassador.

Trading with uni

Comrade Kody had proposed a trade with uni for ecological engineering with Cycon Comm link, Drone Comm link, Loyalty, Applied physics. The trade negotiation has yet to go through. It now appears that the trade would not be possible and the treaty may already be broken since uni, after loading the scout onto a transport moved a few squares west, just landed it again in our land. This information is however obtained in Kody’s turn instead of Jamski’s turn.
