Why am I missing a square? since we began at turn 0? I am now confused. By now at turn 6 I should have 7 squares.

It is impossible to have 7 pieces in at the start of turn 5.
you can only have 5 pieces at the start of turn five assuming you add one piece each time.

I'm still waiting for turn 5 to be completed. It's just that I've updated everything, except your (vev's) previous details, for turn 6.

You haven't placed a square at the start of the turn. That's why.

You forget that production is calculated at the start of the turn.
So you only count squares that are there before you place your square for that turn. So in turn 5 assuming you have placed one per turn you have placed 5 squares.

We are currently working on your turn 5, even though I've updated to turn 6. I updated before I realised the really bad mistakes you made in your post.
