It would reduce the building power by 6 minerals, and the eco-damage

I think we get the CDF in 12 turns and at about 12 Eco-damage, but I'm not completely sure

What effect would that have on NA?

yes but in my terriority i asked TKG for permission....they are two that are in the forests south of ZG and one north of ZG..all belonging to NA right now but i want to rehome them to my bases

i have will take 3 NA crawlers that are in my region and redived them over my region bases so that the eco damage will be less
Which crawlers are they? They're still in my jurisdiction.

GT's plan is sound. I'd favour a higher EcoD until pop, because we actually have two of these for "free" - no worms! - and they both increase the EcoD cap by one.

I agree, although I still think it's a little high, and we don't have enough formers as it is, since we have crawlers crawling forests and nowhere decent to crawl food or energy.

Agreed. As long as we are working on the CDF and not yet another crawler, we can justify the eco-damage for the moment. Though my long-range goal is to have no eco-damage, if we have to have eco-damage, it should lead to something. Defense of our cities via the CDF would strongly protect us from the Hive; that mitigates the still-significant eco-damage.

I concur. While running 30 ecodamage is excessive for my tastes, we do still need a pop. Let's be prepared for it (in case the pop takes out something essential) with some formers hovering around the area. If the situation gets too dicey with pops, we can always reduce ED again. But construction of the CDF in as short a time as reasonable is a worthy goal.

I am entirely in favor of General Tacticus' directions for the NA area.

YEP CDF a priority, along with rehoming.

Well, assuming I remain as governor of the Midlands, here are some draft orders for NA crawlers:

Move 14,90 crawler to mineral bonus on 17,89 and crawl minerals.
    Rehome 23,91 crawler to NS.
Rehome 8,92 crawler to Tacticus Academy, then move it to 9,89 & crawl minerals.
Rehome 26,96 crawler to NS, then have it crawl minerals from 27,97.

This will allow NA to build the CDF in 10 turns, while reducing ecodamage to 30. Mineral production will go up again when we can get a crawler to the mineral bonus and move the worker onto forest. This plan will also allow for increases in production at other bases, most especially NS.

ah, but remember. you work for me now

as for getting regions straightened out, i'm getting increasingly more of a life now () but week-ends are still more or less open. just hold on. i still don't know who's governor of what yet

Because we have a stark lack of formers at the moment IMO. We're using crawlers on forests because we have no mines or farm/condensors, and if the pop hits the 7 mimeral mine, then production will be delayed by much towards building the CDF.

We don't have the former time to be dealing with pops at the moment. At least wait until we have more terraforming done before we start allowing excessive eco-damage.

Why? It will produce a pop in a few turns, which the formers can deal with, and we can then cut back on output a bit more, which will allow us to fully exploit ecological facilities and gain us some extra minerals at the same time.
