Command Nexus: Hive War

During the last brief turnchat, the Hive, situated to the north of the University, declared war. They are currently ahead in population and military.

Post your thoughts here on how to proceed.

With advancing knowledge fast enough to make Yang's minions obsolete, gaining HEC and defending sea bases with Plasma as soon as possible, and having the odd unit of missle rovers/squads when we get SFF.

Oh and can't forget the CDF, that would be very usuful.

Besides continual Probing (We should really gear up a small fleet of Probe Foils at some stage), ignore until we can start the Drop Troops & Choppers pouring in, or until he actually becomes a nusiance to our Shipping lanes.

First military priority should be infiltration.
Second military priority should be the Citizen's Defense Force.
Third military priority should be to put state-of-the-art garrisons in all cities.
Fourth military priority should be to build up a defensive navy.
Fifth miltary priority should be to build up an occupation force strong enough to take and hold the Command Nexus. (Probes may be involved.)
Sixth military priority should be building an attack force for liberation of the Hive.

All IMO, of course.

I agree with what has been said about the importance of infiltration and some proper garrisons, along with the CDF, but I think we should give serious consideration to attacking The Hive and taking the Command Nexus. It would be a big help to our war machine and a big detriment to theirs if we could capture it.

I suppose it depends where the CN is, and if we can easily take it. Let's wait until we have infiltrated before we poll for other plans.
