They are. They just know that they will be more efficient and more happy by doing certain jobs. No misery push our citizens to do rubbish jobs for a living, they do it cause they like it and know they are the most efficient at this job and thus they make the whole mankind more happy.

I just read your thread and re-read your message about Police State. I agree that putting a police state for a short time can be very profitable (ie right before you build many bases in the same turn, and then you switch back to democracy for the growth bonus, but you have the free minerals for founding new bases).
Honestly, this is an option when some drastic threats are coming, its sometimes better to save our lives than to go with freedom of speech. Despite that, the CCCP doesnt support Police State for several off-game and in-game reasons.

1. We are playing the Peacekeepers, we cannot go with Police State.
2. Roleplay, choosing Police State in politics would mean that the Democracy Game forums are closed until we switch back to Democracy, and only the Commissioner (and maybe the directors) plays the game. Quite boring...

1. The CCCP has been founded to give Marxism a new chance, and so we must not do the same mistakes that others marxists made on Earth.
2. That would be too much an argument for these damn pigs of P4 and CP to say we are actually fascists ! (We are not fascists )

I second "Comrade Foreman" or even just "Foreman". As far as an initial agenda goes, the three items you suggest as being on the table should be enough to keep everyone busy for a while.
