  • Just a little proposal with large repercussions...

How about a houserule for ACDG III that any faction may own maximum twice the number of crawlers/trawlers and formers/seaformers then it has bases at any time?

It keeps the AI longer competitive, and will surely increase turn playin' time because no numerous units need to be micromanaged. Rushing a SP still stays possible with this, and crawlers/formers do not necessary be rehomed to other bases when a given base already has 2 crawlers/formers.

Knowing you guys, I won't expect much support for such a proposal, but perhaps one can see it as a challenge...

    I voted native life crawlers.

It would be interesting if you tried to enter fungus and an crawler appeared, especially interesting if the gaians captured it.

      Voted yes, off course.

And to clear any misunderstandings, XenoCrawlers is the obligatory banana option, although your sugggestion is interesting Kody. It can easily be implemented in the #UNITS list by the map creator.

Nice suggestion, but IMHO wouldn't it just encourage massive ICS?

I voted "No", as it isn't faction-neutral. Morgan depends on crawlers to be competitive in the game, and if there are to be limits on what a faction can build or own, then let's limit armies, native units, probe activity, etc.

          So, a resounding NO

No way José, for the same reasons as Googlie has given above.

Can we have a discussion thread before a poll next time please?

              Another Morgan "NO" vote.

I voted no too. Not so much I know if it is to the Gaian's benefit, just because I don't think we should regulate the way one plays his game.

I guess I better started this topic in the help/strategy thread. But a discussion was barely needed looking at the votes sofar.

Even I would vote no, because this is drastic, and needs a good discussion before poll.

Aditional Morgaic No vote. Though the idea is somewhat intriging to me none the less.

NO. We need to keep the game as vanilla as possible. That's what we've all played and I think we should keep it that way.
