It's all about positive and negative reinforcement sometimes. But it is easier said then done. Say if you are a layback person. You said to yourself that you want to be more active. So you tell yourself that you are active, and you become more active, and you actually enjoys being active. And you think you've been a successful active person. This reinforcement goes back and force and all is good. But one day, you think, phew I'm tired. Let me rest for a day. Then you rest, and you feel so relaxed. And then the next day you want to rest again. And before you know it, you become your layback self again.
Understand oneself is important. Reinforce the good traits and accept the not so good perhaps trait. Or don't view them as not so good. Live naturally is the best way to go. Don't live for others, nor for any kind of standards. Of course this attitude of mine has determined that I will never get Nobel Prize.
