Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Changes made to the poll:
Subtracted 1 no vote (Mine) and put it over in the "Let Tass/Googlie Decide" column
Added 1 no vote
Added a 3 day timelimit (to make it a total of 5 days).
Why not strike the "no" totally now, then and add it's results to 'let Tass/Goog decide' and add the 'If CPU wants him' to the 'Yes' since you've already said that a 'no' can be for two choices and a yes is iffy as to being two choices...
If at the end it's too close to tell (yes/let CPU decide) vs (no/let Tass decide) (in either direction) we really need another poll to finalize, IMHO.

Civ and WoW are my crack... just one... more... turn...
Well, the thing is, Tass, I know I, for one, chose to vote for you and Goog to choose because I expected a little more... discussion prior to a decision (like actually waiting for the poll results and discussion to finalize) and deciding from there, kind of the xenobanana, but instead you come out and say "I'll clearly just say no".
Not what I was expecting, which is why just a new poll with clearer options would be better.
As it is, I'd have to request for my 'let the gods decide' to be changed to a clear yes, even though there needs to be some extra discussion as to the terms, which was why I voted 'let the gods decide' in the first place.

And the rationale for my decision has already been given....As if it wasn't clear enough But I'll give it again:
Jamski knows a lot about the Hive. The Hive and the CyCon are having "tense relations".
Jamski, knowing all he knows about the Hive, might go to CyCon and reveal that information willingly or unwillingly.
He would know the locatino of every major base.....Perhaps what that base is building, what surrounds it, which bases have been given "priority" in the past, etc etc...
Imagine if military plans, diplomatic plans, heck even the password were given out....
Not only that, but we need to stick with one thing. If the rules are constantly changing....One minute spying is allowed, the next it isn't, the next it is....One minute defections are allowed, the next they aren't, the next they are, and the next they aren't....It's confusing, especially for new players or players who want to join the game.
And again, going back to the main point: What if information was leaked? Or perhaps covertly coerced? You may think I'm just being paranoid, however I, in my experience as CMN, do believe that this game has been rife with people who are willing to break the rules. Such a thing is much easier to see from above when looking at everything as a whole.
Thus, I don't think defections are a good idea and I also think if we make a rule, we should stick with it for at least till the end of the game instead of do this flip-flop thing.
The game is nearing the end. Like it makes a difference at this point, as Buster stated. Besides, a 2-turn wait nullifies pretty much most of the inadvertant information giving - their info will be out of date. Deliberate cheating like giving passwords out does not require access to the private forums first, so is not a good reason for exclusion.
As it is, I'd have to request for my 'let the gods decide' to be changed to a clear yes, even though there needs to be some extra discussion as to the terms, which was why I voted 'let the gods decide' in the first place.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
Ah, but we don't know how much longer the game will last. We don't know if it'll end next turn or if 20 turns will pass before it ends. Surprises can happen.
Second....If we're talking about important bases, base locations, etc....That's probablty not going to outdate for quite some time unless something major happens (In real world terms: Unless Moscow is nuked, Moscow will still remain the most important city in Russia.).
And again, at this point it makes the *most* difference. CyCon and the Hive are in a tense relationship, and if someone knew of the....strategies of the other, then it would completly mess things up if that got out.
And no, deliberate cheating doesn't require that, but people will go to many lengths in order to justify immoral behaviors and this just gives them more fodder...
And the point has already been made: Inadvertant release of information is most certainly a possibility and I would say even inevitable given the situation.

The answer is clear (to me)!
Jamski and all other defectors (Hong Hu?) should join PEACE. Its not like PEACE can make a lot of use of "sensitive military information" right now... although... I guess we could sell it...

Just yes. I was not around for the poll Tass cites, and there have been many like me who joined since. I think it had a jaw-dropping result really, and I wonder what OTHER strange restrictive rules were voted in before we got here.
No chatting, no changing factions.... what were we supposed to do but kill each other through ill communication and tensions. I honestly do not know how long the game will last when/if there is only the Hive, PEACE and Drones left. The Drones have barely been seen here in ages, and most of the activity has been Hive and CPU. The Hive will kill the game with this war, for better or worse. They are already killing their numbers.
Jamski has ben authorized in CYCON since the day this thread was posted.
So why do we continue the debate?
He is in and I would hope Jamski would not share sensitive information, which I dont think he will.
So why do we continue talking about it?
Is this a +1 oppurtunity?, if so I guess Im in then
