Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I voted no too btw. Tassadar has repeatedly proved in the past, for example here, that he has periods of serious mental instability. Therefore I am reluctant to give him access to all the factions' information. Who knows, when he yet again has "Too much energy + Lotsa medications + Sleep Deprivation", he might release important information about one faction to another. Also I doubt he can be impartial in his reports. Probably the PUT and Archaic would get bashed all the time. I may be saying this a little rough, but there's no way I'd want Tassadar as assistant God.
Tell me, though...how do you intend to compel us to open our forum to him?
I don't intend to compel anybody to open their forum to Tass. I just think that it may be unfair to other factions if Tass come back to Hive with his knowledge. But I also think it unfair to Tass if he is banned from the game. So a Historian seems a better option. But I understand that there are reservations from some factions because what Tass did in the past. This is why I asked what job description is for the historian/assistant god. I don't know if letting him be the historian not the assistant god will be a valid choice for all of us? This is really a puzzled question that we need to work together and get it over.

Will letting all factions do one Tass manuvor to get to a level playing field and then we all agree not to do it again, will this sovle the problem? I know this sounds rubbish, but I really couldn't think of anything else.

I'm sorry for that, but while my attitude may not be the politest one, you have to understand the attitude of me and several others towards Tassadar, seeing the stunts he has pulled in the past.
Oh yes, now I know the (IMHO) minor knowledge Tassadar has gained, I would vote to let him go back to the Hive. It probably isn't hard to be silent about the little information he has gained. The only thing he would have to do is not give revealing comments in threads dealing with the direction in which the Hive should explore next.

Nah. Just let him return to the Hive without anyone else ever repeating the Tassadar Manoeuvre.

Second Function, you have a great heart. Now that we know what specific info Tass knows, I am more comfortable that maybe you are right that it doesn't matter that much. I guess by now most factions probably are not very far away from meeting their neighbors anyway so a miniban or self imposed restriction for a few turns may be all that is needed.

I'm unsure about how minor the info is, and whether I could trust anybody to act impartially knowing what he knows, unless I am mistaken about his knowledge?

But you must consider, it will influence my decisions. Alliance with X? Maybe, maybe not...I now know their location. Pay for commlink? No, cause I know theyre right there....

Well that's exactly why you should refrain from commenting and making decisions on these issues.
Plus, it would be fun to write a history.
And I think you would do a great job with it (except perhaps for possible PUT bashing ), but it's just your "Call the Courts!!!" thread that made me a little wary of your weak moments...
True, although that has settled down somewhat it seems. I think putting him back damages the game an awful lot more than an assistant God. I'd actaully like him there, he didn't Archaic bash too much that I saw in the last ACDG (hell, he was in the DLP) and I think he would be fun as it, what you want in an historian IMHO.
