anywhere from 8.5 up, I'd imagine. civ3 isn't exactly quake3, so the reqs shouldn't be that high (isn't that why a lot of people have macs in the first place?). if it won't load on my (although aging) G3, then I'll lose a lot of faith in apple software when compared to its MS counterpart, which apparantly can load it up with a 233.
I still fully support the idea of a moderated pc/mac slugfest. us vs glonk and about two thirds of apolyton

Everyone:
I am a proud owner of a Macintosh computer who also happens to be addicted to Civilization II!!! I am also looking forward to Civilization III ... sometime in early to mid-2002, hopefully.
As for prerequisities; well, I hope it runs on OS 8.5 minimum and can be satisfied with 160 RAM and 4 gig or so HD.

i'd rather just have maccers in here. the place for an OS war would be the otPrince of...... the Civ Mac Forum

.: Pentium II 300mhz
.: 32 megs of ram
.: 400 megs hd
.: 4X CD-Rom

what does all this translate into? The only thing that matters to me in a MP game is getting a good ally.Nothing else is as important.......Xin Yu

please also note that the system reqs I listed could run The Sims reasonably well. Since that was a 3D game, not a 2D TBS disc, Westlake should at least get civ3 to boot on the specs I listed. Poor programming could leave some low-end users in the dust, though.
