      America = In

We are greater than Rome ever was, and just as adept at debauchery.

If America would be left out, we would be left with the odd situation of the greatest economic and military power in one of the game's four eras not being in the game. For a future version, if a way to implement the idea that is both fun and balanced can be developed, it might make sense to develop a way for a player (or AI) to split off a daughter civilization. But unless and until that happens, the only options are to have America exist in 4000 BC or to have it be impossible for America to exist in 2000 AD. Of those two, I think including America in the game makes more sense because excluding the nation that is the world's greatest power in one of the eras would be a serious omission.

Thank you for acknowledging my people's existance. We may have fought against them tooth and nail in every Anglo-Yankee War ever, but apparently we need them to be in a game for us to buy it

Hell, People from Halifax burnt the White House. Who else can claim that?

Not saying our One million people are that influential in the sales department but we're on THAT side of the Atlantic, and are apart of the Second Largest country in the world, so atleast you could acknowledge the fact that we exist.

Note: If anyone finds this a touch too strong and anti-american, remember that they're our "National" Enemies. The Maritimes region of Canada has been competing with the New Englandish Region of America for like... 200 years. Not that they know that. We're one of those "Anti-American" Hotbeds in Canada.

And so if it offends, I apologize. But remember, we kicked your ass in 1812, You only could beat up on Ontario. Anyone could beat up on Ontario. Luxemburg could beat Ontario. Wimpy Girly Men.

                No offense Verenti.

When I said "America", I meant "the US". It's abusive I know.

Congrats to the people of Halifax. This White House is ugly anyway. Not very "chic" for the palace of the most powerful country in the world.

Umh, if America were to be kicked out on the grounds that is merely a former colony then Carthage must also be thrown out (Phoenician colony founded 800 BC). It may also be necessary to throw Rome out (one legend has it that it was founded by people from Troy).

If America were to be thrown out on the grounds that it did not exist in 4000 BC then Carthage and Rome would also have to go. Umh, the Franks didn't turn up in France until about 500 AD, ditto for Anglo-Saxons in England. Should England and France be thrown out?

Anyway, there were 32 civs in Civ3. I can't see why America shouldn't have one of those slots.

I think the fact that America is the biggest games market in the world makes all the arguments irrelevant anyway (as M. le Comte pointed out). America must be included.

Of course they should make the White House more "chic" now that they are a superpower. The people must upgrade the palace.

This is getting old, why not create your own civilization name, why copy USA, Greek, Rome, England? Isn't game all about rewrite history? Create your own civilization! Make your face a Leader Head! Srecw Henry II, Churchill Lincoln, Washington, Roosevelt, ect... You dont want to be like them, be yourself! Said "Me, Me, Me" Ok, it's kind of self-fish but everyone dose that.

A "society" is called as a civilization when it posses unity in culture & history. America isnt the only country in the world to have a multicultural society, but it still is ofcourse a unique civilization, since the american people have a culture & history of their own.

Immigration (hell, there are more people of mostly German decent than of mostly English decent) and over 200 years of seperate history have made the US a very different beast from it's British parent.

It's a short step from this thread to lobbying for America to be barred from the United Nations, and then from the planet. Leftists

Excuse me? As both a patriotic American AND a socialist, this is BS.
