      Without the inventor, there would be no improvements.

      Give credit where credit is due.

      Gutenberg didn't invent the printing press 1st in the world- he invented it in Europe and yes, his printing press was the superior one- but China was hundreds of years ahead of Gutenberg.

        Gutenberg did invent the printing press, quite simply because the device he made was a press. He did not invent printing, that's true.

            I don't see why that's so hard to accept. What the Chinese did was woodblock printing. Surely you don't also insist on calling a dirtroad a railroad instead, despite the lack of rails?
