At the higher difficulty levels the AI gets some free units at the beginning of the game, not just a settler and a worker like you.Originally posted by tarzan052566

at higher levels the AI also gets: build bonusses ( I.E. costs less shields to complete units, buildings,....)
He also gets more free units (no upkeep payments)Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

Re: Re: Optimal Number of Cities/AI Armies
Actually, no. There is an optimum number of cities for each map size. Going over that number will result in higher corruption & waste for your cities, although whether it's for all cities or just the ones over the optimum number I don't know. And I imagine that the amount of corruption and waste is proportional to the no. of cities over the limit.Originally posted by Der PH

zulu9812, adding cities to the perimeter of your empire only effect corruption in core cities if you have a Communist government. Otherwise, corruption and waste are lowest in the capitol, 2nd-lowest in the city closest to the capitol, 3rd-lowest in the city 2nd-closest to the capitol, and so on.
