The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Maybe if you leave the monk as is and evolve the background.
Put a Medieval Castle on the hill, maybe cut the trees of, highway tunnel, high skycrapers with lots of infrastructure around...
Maybe change the material of which the clothing is made...
I agree, change the clothes or put a temple in the background that sort of thing... one thing though, I know the Dalai Lama is very nice looking today, in the past they were warlike, maybe touch up on his mean side - make him look more stern - vulcan like - know what I mean? (or have I been watching too much star trek again?? )
How about a sand painting in the background that fills in over the ages. Maybe it will be blank in the modern age because it was finished at the end of the industrial age and destroyed.
- "A picture may be worth a thousand words, but it still ain't a part number." - Ron Reynolds
- I went to Zanarkand, and all I got was this lousy aeon!
- "... over 10 members raised complaints about you... and jerk was one of the nicer things they called you" - Ming
- Use as is for ancient era
- Add a little building on the mountain for midieval era. A castle wouldn't work well, but maybe a pagoda, or something.
- Expand the pagoda for the industrial era. And maybe add something very subtle to it, that would indicate industrialism. Maybe some smoke coming up from the background, as if a small train was there?
- For the modern era, draw a jet trace in the sky, and give the guy glasses.
And for us to be able to tell that he is actually wearing contacts, they would have to either be some unnatural color - like red or yellow, or shape the pupil differently...
Now, I think it is worth to do a research to find out how many Tibetan Monks have poor eyesight.
