IIRC in Lenins times the name of the city was Petrograd. It was renamed Leningrad by Stalin after Lenins death. It was Stalin, who renamed cities after himself.

        And for the PTW version...

...might I suggest that it start in 1939 and advance 1 week per turn.

Just to correct minor historical mistakes:
            - Lenin did not rename everything after himself. At his time the city was called "Petrograd" to avoid the german-sounding name "Sankt Peterburg" (due to anti-german feelings at World War 1). Petrograd became Leningrad after his death (1924) to honor his leading role in the revolution of '17.
Stalingrad was really called so during World War 2. Josef Stalin did not wait until his death to have "everything renamed after himself", he wanted to see the glory in his lifetime. The name Volgograd came into life after Chrushtchov ended the era of Stalinism and personal cult and had the city renamed. Actually, before Volgograd was "Stalingrad", it had another name (yes, very confusing, this Russian habit): "Zaritsyn".
I know my comments have nothing to do with the mod itself, but since I believe CIV players are all interested in History, I wanted to correct something written here earlier.
