    Spica map

Elden, you would need a copy of my edited .bic file to get the Sylvanians replacing the Iroquois. The Sylvanians are just my own tweak to the game. My later map descriptions don't mention this.
Speaking of maps, I have 2 new ones. Again, these are standard-sized maps with 16 playable civs. The first one, Spica, can be intriguing if you change your .bic file and tweak where the AI can build cities. I have set the Spica.bic file to allow cities only on: grassland, plains, forest, flood plains, and hills. For a real challenge, tweak the terrain setting in the .bic file, and uncheck the box that allows civs to build on hills. Spica is set up so that many resources will require colonies, especially if city-building on hills is not allowed. I play tested it with cities on hills, and it was still interesting.
    Here is the Spica file:

      Lesath map

And here is my Lesath map. I have not play-tested it yet. It is an archipelago, so go for naval techs early! And if you know which star Lesath is, and which constellation it lies in, you will have a clue as to the shape of the archipelago

If you wanted to make them available with Sylvanians you could open the map and use File - Import... select yes, maximise rules and tick civilizations, click ok and open the scenario which has the Sylvanians (I assume you are using the 1.29F editor)

To protest the war I am using the UN Flag - Howard has said most Australians are for the war so clearly I am not an Aussie.

          Screenshots!
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

            Screenshots

I was in the bookstore, and the saleslady came up and asked, "Do you need any help finding anything?" "Yes," I said. "Where is the self-help section?" She replied, "If I told you that, it would defeat the purpose!'

Seems to me that posting a screenshot of a map is like that. Why start out in 4000 BC with no knowledge of the world, and yet have had a look at the map? Seems like it would ruin the experience.

Incidentally, the next time I was in that bookstore, and the salesman asked if I needed any help, I said, "Yes, do you have a copy of Shoplifting For Dummies?

              Aldebaran map

Ok, for those of you who don't like a lot of resources, I present my Aldebaran map. It is a standard-sized map, a pangaea, with 16 civs playable. Only horses and iron are plentiful; after that, you will have to compete for each of the 4 to 5 strategic/luxury resources in the world. You have about a 1 in 4 chance of finding said resources in your territory, unless you fight for them! I have also restricted the terrain in which cities can be built. Enjoy Aldebaran !

                  Scheat

Scheat is a star in the great square of Pegasus . I have designed my Scheat Civ 3 map to be standard-sized, with 3 main continents. Here is a screen shot of Scheat :

                      Algol

Algol is a variable star. I have made a map of a planet circling Algol, and here is a screenshot:

                        More on Algol

You can see Algol has a lot of deserts and mountains, but I have also restricted cities from being built on tundra or jungle. Basically, civs will emerge in the river valleys. This means good city-sites on Algol are at a premium. Resources will be too! Here is the Algol file:

                          Alkaid

Here is another map I have made, of a planet circling the star Alkaid. It is a Civ 3 map a standard-sized pangaea with 16 civs playable. Here is a screenshot of Alkaid:

                            More on Alkaid

What I have done with Alkaid is to make the outer coasts rugged. Few cities will be buildable there. However, there are 3 main inlets on Alkaid, and good seaports will be available on those. These inlets also serve to divide the pangaea of Alkaid into 3 main continental areas. Enjoy Alkaid! I have also made a map of Mira. Again, it is a standard-sized Civ 3 map with 16 civs playable. Here is a screenshot of Mira:

                                More on Mira

The concept behind Mira is that all the civs spring up near clusters of resources. Now, if you are starting and do not see any resources, it will mean that a cluster of a strategic resource will show up later. Other civs will start near luxuries or bonus resources. Also, though Mira is basically a pangaea, there are plenty of offshore islands to explore and exploit. Enjoy Mira! Here is the file:
