I think that would be a good idea. You can also try CGN (www.civgaming.net), they are really fast with minimal traffic. I like the layout (same as here), but they are really quick.

      Due to overwhelming demand

...these files have all* been placed at Civ Fanatics

Warning: The file order has been changed, darkRail15 is posted at the top, followed by the original style, then darkRail25. Its fairly obvious which is which, but thought Id better mention the change to aviod any confusion

      * Actually, Im still uploading the other 2, but they will be up very soon
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Ok, they have all been posted - and should be downloadable by everyone having trouble with Apolyton

I'm no longer having problems downloading files here at Apolyton, so I'd imagine all else should be problem free, as well. However, I still have to rename the file to a .zip from an attachment, but it works fine now once you do that. Whereas before even if you did that it wouldn't work properly.

Also, Skanky, you did a great job on these rails, and I appreciate the work you've done on them, as well as the work you did on your version of the resource images.
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

            No Change

I'm glad for you, TechWins, but It still does not transmit the proper header information for me. The file comes to me as *.zip (I don't have to rename the file), but the file closes without all of the identifiers.

Thank you for the new posting at CivFanatics

I now have the files safely downloaded. Thanks, again.

                  Hey, skanky!

Here's the version of civ2-style railways I was working before you beat me to it. I was going to post it in a different thread, but I suppose it would be most logical to place it in here (check below for screenshots).

Download the file, unzip the file and place it in the art/terrain/ subdirectory (remembering to back up the original first!)

                  **UPDATE**
Sorry to those concerned, but the file posted up to now was the wrong version. Here's the one represented by the screenshot.

Note that this is just a template for further development, and that future versions may incorporate curves where appropriate to spice it up and make it more interesting. Please feel free to comment on it and make ANY improvements on it you wish to.

Might be my eyes, but ....

Looks like the same screen shot, Soufie.

                        LOL Great minds think alike

Well, I guess we're even now - you beat me to the 'Tider Railways' idea
Yours looks good, possibly needs to be darker.

The ISP it was hosted on died.
(And this is the first time I have checked back here for a few months)

But here is that preview again, for everyones viewing pleasure.
This is the Straight Dark 15 style.

And the darker version of the files.
It feels weird posting here again after almost a year.
