    Update

As soon as I get permission from BlueO, I'm going to incorporate his Air Transport unit into this mod. Also, UnforgiveMe2000 said he's making .flc files for the airbase, so it won't look like a carrier anymore! This will be version 1.5.

Did the ICBM function work? I DLed this but haven't had a chance to try it.

No, unfortunately the ICBM flag didn't affect the paradrop range.

Unfortunately, I can't get the unit to work. Until I can find out what the problem is, it won't be in this mod.

I tried the ICBM flag and noticed I could only target cities. I haven't used an ICBM in a game but is that al it can do, hit cities?

Anyways as for airbase graphics, I 'll see what comes out but I was just going to copy CTP2's or even Civ2's and stick it in each frame, if I get time.

I didn't see in the patch readme if the removed the the cap of 8 spaces for airdrop, I can only hope. the way I see if they did, then the airbase should have like 20 or 100 space range because if you drop it in an enemy area un protected it'll get captured. And with this range it'll simulate building airbases anywhere.

Dropping the airbase in the middle of an enemy empire just seems a bit illogical to me. Could it be possible to make the airbase 'unit' fully immobile with the function that it could be transported by aircraft, ships or land based transports. The only disadvantage of this of course is that the airbase could be 'picked up' and moved closer to the enemy. This however, could represent the crew moving further and re-establishing the airbase when needed. After all, a landing strip isn't that time-consuming to build.

For the appearance of the airbase unit: if fortified it should look like an airbase, else maybe a modified worker.

If the airbase is given an attack/defence value then it won't be able to be dropped in enemy territory, as it will be attacked by the enemy or make a war.
Maybe this could be a solution to that problem.. though if they can be captured with 0,0 statistics then this would be as good.

I'll try out the mod.. i've got some other ideas for extending air ranges, i'll see if they work.

With a normal ICBM you can target anything.

                          Activision Arguments

It's funny that CTP is originally based on CIV, but if CIV tries to use anything from CTP it's C&D time. Call the lawyers!

Hopefully the Mod Community can help the fan who enjoys both games. You can make it happen. BTW, thanks for the WonderBackground, PopulationMoodShields and of course, the Airbase! It's appreciated.

Again, answer me this, if Civ2 and CTP2 both had airbases, why doesn't Civ3??
Castle Wolfenstein or Civilization 3? So little time...

Thanks, E! I'm going to test it out in a little bit. If anyone wants to know, the easiest way to test these things is to set the cost to 1, make it require no tech, and start a random game. Build it first, and if your game crashes, it's back to the drawing board.

Oh, E, sorry. I forgot to post that the graphics hadn't worked. I'd actually forgotten about the mod, although I still have it installed; I've been working on a couple of other projects, most notably tweaking my modifications to the Mech. Infantry until it's balanced enough to post here.
