  • Has anyone found a way to add civs yet?

Upon attempting to add the Mongols and Arabs to my mod, "THE BALANCER", i experienced lock-ups at the foreign advisor screen. This must be related to the leader animation, has anyone found a way to just substitute still images in the leader area?

No one has found a way as of yet... it appears that the necessary images may have been hardcoded into the executable. There is a more detailed discussion on the problems encountered in this thread: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=33937

Sorry I didn't have better news

From looking in the civ3 folder, these are all of the leader pictures and animations.

Foreign advisor shots: civ3/art/advisors. 1 file with 12 circles (3 moods, 4 ages) for each civ

Civilopedia pictures: civ3/art/civilopedia/icons/races. 1 large pic, one small one for each civ

Diplomacy animations: civ3/art/flics. 8 flics per civ: 2 in each age

Endgame pics: civ3/art/leaderheads. 10 pics per civ: normal, angry, conquered small, conquered large, cult, cult (small circle), happy, kiss, small happy, small kiss.

        Thanks for the info guys!
Hopefully someone here at Apolyton will be able to crack a method, and then the floodgates will be open!

But it IS working, isn't it? You can add civs, you just don't have all pics in the screens. I've added civs in a BIC file and it seems to work fine (at least in the first turns, I didn't have time to test more yet)
