    I'm redrawing India now ...

Things are going slow with the holiday coming up.

Some other changes I've made so far:

    Less oil in the U.S.
Wine in Australia and South Africa.

No, but the Incas could temper copper to be just as sharp.

... and we still have no idea how they did it!

Ok ... Here is the quote from the chat with Soren:

"[Congestion] Is there a set ratio between resources, i.e. gold is more common than oil and so on, or is that totally random?

[Soren_Johnson_Firaxis] Congestion: there is a ratio for resources and luxuries which is set by the number of players in the game. There is always at least one resource per civ and there is never more than one luxury per civ. The "commodity" resources (wheat, gold, etc...) basically just fill up the rest of the map."

I read this to mean that I actually should keep the number of strategic resources around 16 and the number of luxury resources to less than 16 for this map.

          Hello Everyone,

I have just posted version 1.2 of the map. Go to the top of this thread to download it.

I have reworked all of the resources based on the chat with Soren Johnson. I've reduced some resources and increased others and have gotten the map to where the Civs trade and you as the player have to make strategic decisions to acquire the resources you want. In some cases it is quite possible for a Civ to obtain a near monopoly over a specific resource....

I believe now the map is complete. You can also view some new screen shots by clicking the links in the first post of this thread.

          Here are the resource counts:

          HORSES 16
          IRON 22
          SALTPETER 18
          COAL 26
          OIL 17
          RUBBER 16
          BAUXITE 16
          URANIUM 16
          WINE 10
          FURS 12
          DIES 10
          INCENSE 10
          SPICES 10
          IVORY 10
          SILKS 10
          GEMS 12

Also, I added a MOD of the map where I made some changes that will hopefully deal with corruption.

          Enjoy!

            Hello everyone:

            I've released version 1.3 which now includes a standard ( 100 x 100) sized map!!!

This smaller map is better for faster games. It's the first release of this map so let me know what changes you think it needs.

            Enjoy!

Please make Iceland larger... and it is not only glacier on Iceland. Remember the hot springs...

And gold in Sweden? Never heard of that...

I also think that it is VERY much resources in USA, compared to the rest of the world, is this just because you are American?

jealousy........isn't it true that this is a very distorted Earh map?
