Due to the bad experience of Civ3 (I didn't like the original vanilla version and I came back to play it with the Conquest expansion),
I will wait at least 6 months and some patches before buying Civ4.
In the meantime, I will go on playing Conquests,
which I really like after the latest patch.

Everyone was too busy playing Civ3 to post!!!

But personally, I love Civ3, and as it has been said, it will never be removed for my computer. However, if Civ4 works on my computer ( ) I will probibly lose touch with C3C SP games. I will still play my PBEMs but I have been somewhat in a rut with some SP things of Civ3 (AI and Governments not withstanding) so once Civ4 comes into the picture all SP expirence will be prompty transferred to it. Once my MP games end on Civ3 thats when I will start MP games on Civ4.

You know, Civ1 still survives. For those who can't afford to buy a mainframe to run Civ4 smoothly, then Civ3 will continue to be the most valuable thing to play. Or Civ2. Or even Civ1. There are many people who only have Civ1 and even heard about Civ2 and Civ3 but never bought them, or didn't like them too much.

people will still play CIV III for a long time to come, but it is inevitable that it will decline. CIV III had a LOT of problems early and that put a bad taste into a lot of folks mouths and they stayed with CIV II. I played PBEM's in CIV II for YEARS after CIV III was released.

if CIV IV is as buggy more people will stay. if its not (and all the previews Im seeing as well as some Firaxis insiders Ive talked have said it will be a lot less buggy) then I think you will see a quicker decline in CIV III.

I will still participate in the PBEM and Demo game Im in, but Im not looking to do anything new in CIV III, until I see CIV IV and make my own judgement on how good it is or is not

I think I will continue to play PTW, mostly because of my old computer. But really, Civ4 will be heavy and most civ fanatics won't be able to have any other games except it. So, another great strategy by Sid Meier . Let us really see if Civ4 will be that great game.

We don't have DL accounts. I live in Brazil, the guy is an american. If you can do an IP check you will know .

Edit - No, no IP check. It is not a DL account, ok? I don't want too many people to know my IP.

actually either your ip is displayed on your post or the mod hits the 'ip' link button. it really isnt an issue of them seeing it. nobody is watching civ3 forum for an ip to randomly hack

besides,if your using a DL,you need to know how to change ips and not be seen. only way to go
