The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.
Before I was married, playing Civ and losing weight wasn't a problem. I did the old "just one more turn" so much that I was skipping meals.

I keep a 32 oz. jug of water (with a small splash of juice added) next to the treadmill on a shelf as I work out. I go through 32 oz per hour. Without the water, I fall apart after 20 minutes.
Just take it easy though...I have worked out for years and I can tell you that a little excercise goes a long way. Too many people get on the treadmill and try to bust it up, sweating profusely, etc. You probably already know this--that you don't have to run hard to do a lot of good--just a nice brisk walk does wonders for your health.
Playing Civ while working out though...that's great. Why didn't I ever think of that? But then again, if you lift weights, it's a little more difficult to play Civ, 'cause you are using your hands to hold weights.
How to really make this work: have, instead of a treadmill, a bicycle machine, and use it as the power source for your computer. If you slack off, you lose your game

Hey IG, you should apply for the annual Japanese mad inventions competition. You'd have good chances.
"The world is too small in Vorarlberg". Austrian ex-vice-chancellor Hubert Gorbach in a letter to Alistar [sic] Darling, looking for a job...
"Let me break this down for you, fresh from algebra II. A 95% chance to win 5 times means a (95*5) chance to win = 475% chance to win." Wiglaf, Court jester or hayseed, you judge.
This indeed is not as crazy as it may look at the first glance. I, too, usually slowly lose weight if immersed in a game (not necessarily Civ all the time). Skipping meals and hardly ever "visiting" our fridge does marvels...
It may cause you to lose weight, but it is very unhealthy to do it that way. You're much better off eating healthy (this does not necessarily mean eating a lot less) and exercising.
This is truth indeed. But I manage to lost 13% of my weight doing this. But it´s like kind of a eating reeducation i think, now i´m much more satisfied with much more less.
Before: 84 Kg
now: 73 Kg
and losing more... way to 65!!!
If ten thousand of your men die in front of the walls of an enemy city, order the other ten thousands men to climb their bodies and attack the city.

Actually, I am best off eating only when hungry... which is exactly what happens when I am playing games...
I project being able to lose even more weight after Civ 4 is out.
