But communism doesn't come until the early industrial age. IMO, you really should have your FP built before then (quite a bit before then, in fact!).
vxma1's perspective on this matter is that of a Sid-level player, and Sid is so insane that it skews the gameplay quite a bit. I think he's said as much in the past.

After monarch, the game is not even a game anymore, it's just a movie of your civ sitting there, either dying and getting run over or waiting till the retirement because you killed everyone...Comment
