Yes, I make a polite and reasonable request -- maybe I could have phrased it better but I certainly wasn't flaming -- and I get derided.

Governor Grandpa Troll..is being reasonable and yes was having fun..and well..will "curtail" attachments so as to not offend anyone or make anyone have to be annoyed..

Ok..Governors..looks like to the best of assumptions that very limited use is best?

Ok..I will give it a go!

          Thanks

Governors are suited to people who are new to the game, or are uninterested in anything except moving units.

                        Now..back to the thread context..

I have found the governors to be of use thus far in my new life as a civIII Conquest players!

I do appreciate the help and as for my nic..it was meant as a joke when I started as TROLL and changed when I became a Grandfather..

No harm meant to anyone and no I aint Trolling..just posting as usual..

Ok..I think its time I moved on..unless someone else wants to contine some playful banter?

                        Peace

I have my governors set to "manage moods" because I find that equivalent to clicking on the center square of each city at the end of the turn... (automatic placement of citizens) .I did that all the time anyway, so this saves me a lot of time.

The only time I don't go with what the computer seems to think is the optimal placement is, well, when I don't. For those cities I wish to make an exception and place the citizens myself, it is easy enough to turn off the governor there.

I am playing a game and posting under the CIVIII Stories. I have to say i am thus far impressed with the AI in The Conquests at least. I have set my governors for managing moods as unhappiness is (or was running rampant)

But strangely, now many of my cities are starving (have starvation attacks)

                              Size 4 or more..

Maybe it was having the granaries wonder (Pyramids) become obsolete????

Odd, it seems to have happened in most of my cities, even them outside of the warzone (having ai pillageing my improvements!! )

                              Peace

I think I'm seeing that more than usual too. It seems to be managable so far.
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is not a vice." -- Barry Goldwater, 1964 GOP Nomination acceptance speech (not George W. Bush 40 years later...)

2008 Presidential Candidate (for what its worth)
