    check out where you civ3 is installed under
    \civilization III\art\palaceview\...

    you can see all elements there. 16 files for each type. paste them together in photoshop if you want

      Vince, There are statues atop the columns if using the Greek/Roman archetecture.

        What I was remembering was statues on the lawn that replaced shrubbery. Maybe my memory is faulty, its not in Civ3 but perhaps Civ2?

          Civ2 had no palace view, it had a "throne room" that could be decorated with lots of things. I think it had statues too, but I'm not so sure.

            That would be Civ1 you are talking about. You first got hedgerows, then trees, then marble statues. Still the best Palace View of them all.

              I started to think "Why haven't I had a Palace addition in my current game?"

              Then after seeing this thread, I realized I am playing a mod with increased chance of resources.

              So no palace.

                Here's an idea....

                What would you guys say to an addition to the palace view build that was a "palace destruction" so to speak.

                Meaning that after a really bad stint of unquelled unhappiness or if your empire suffers severe city losses from an invading army, that a screen comes up and you have to choose an element of your palace to be burned to the ground...


                complete with animations of burning structures...

                While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

                    random is fine with me too. Just seems like a nice new twist to the standard palace part of the game.

                      It is pretty easy to finish the palace. I have played around with substituting various stuff so that my palace will be part Middle East/Asian/European ect. They can be pretty ugly.

                        Yeah, I usually used a combo of European and Hellenistic for my palace.
