    That's fine so long as the 'bonus' is well documented and everyone knows about it. Perhaps most on this forum do, but that's a pretty small minority of everyone who owns the game.

    Sorry, but the AI does cheat. Cheating can be ascertained by allowing something that you don't have a realistic access to - and Civ3 excels at giving those 'bonuses' to the AI. Let's not pretend that the 'advanced' AI of Civ3 is any better than pure cheating, because it isn't.

    Another problem is that it forces players to play against it's cheating methods in order to win. Simply moving the goalposts does not an AI make...
    Three words :- Increase your medication.

      Always impossible to deal with high levels in game pretending a " real " intelligence,therefore the pc always use " cheats " in order to simulate an high level of intelligence.

      Told that , I agree with Jeem that the " cheating " criteria should be spoiled a bit in order to have an idea what to prevent at higher levels.
