It is looking promising...I shall buy it tonight when I go home. After all, I have nothing planned for this weekend
Thankfully I decided in the end not to spend my money on buying Conquests.
For the undecided - stay away from Conquests, it's gash!
I am waiting until at least one patch is released. So much for the producer's erstwhile claim hoping this game would not have to have any patches issued (see Apolyton news archive).

very informative post
what don't you like, the screwed up corruption? the gpt bug? or something else?
I like Mesopotamia scenario and its "pre" ancient age. The ancient age has always been my favorite (I've never played a game into modern age, so I wouldnt know about that) .I think that the Epic game should add the ancient technologys in Mes. scenario.
If you like Civ games, they're the cheapest form of entertainment around. Definitely better value than beer, much as I love that too.
However, it's always worth getting expectations in line with reality. Release dates are plucked out of thin air. Coding towards the correct solution takes as long as it takes. This disparity means patches, delays and functionality compromises which are a PITA but slightly less painful when they're an accepted feature of life.
Though this add-on has PTW on it, so that won't be necessary.
From a single player perspective- this add-on is great. I'm having fun even on the introductory scenarios. So if you like single player scenarios- this will do it for you. But even in multiplayer these scenarios should be fun.

So you're posting a bad review even though you acknowledge you don't even have the game?
