I'd like to think that it would have been brought up if this was the case.
All the Conquests are playable in MP, but the 8 human player limit remains. In some Conquests some civilizations are only playable by the AI.... but in one Conquest civs that aren't playable in SP are in MP

Oh, I suppose there's a tag or property to determine which ones aren't available in MP.

Well that makes sense, in fact it's what I had in mind before I apparently got confused.

We are talking at the spanish forum about playing this scenario with our real civs in a PBEM.

8 teams is too much for a PBEM, but we could play it by pairs, two players for each civ, like a small Multiplayer DG

Try Port Royale, its fairly close and the better of the Pirate programs out there.

Its very addictive. I actually started ignoring my Civ3 PBEMs to play it for awhile.

Anyone here remember the original Colonisation game? Forget the jokes about old timers, im only 22, but ive just forced Col to work under Win XP, and this scenario in conquests seems to closely mirror the original game.

I loved colonization, and I'm only 22 as well

The similarities with colonization won't be that huge; basically, this scenario keeps the technological gap between both continents, and it keeps the possibility to ship goods to Europe.

However, you won't have any specialists like in Colonization (expert farmers, expert priests); you will have some intra-European war; you won't sell weapons to the natives; you will research techs, etc.

In the end, it will be fairly different from Colonization, and it wil keep the very Civ-ish approach to it.

I loved colonization too, and I'm 15. . They really should make a sequel to that one. I'd buy in a heartbeat. I think this conquest might be pretty close. This conquest will likely be my first one. This diary is the most interesting so far.

Well, I think I'll begin with the Middle Ages. It simply seems so huge and so open ended that I want to play it. I hope I can play as the Bretons!

The age of Discovery seems pretty nice, but I'm not sure it is the most adapted to Civ.

Yep Colonization was a great game. I think Port Royale is so fun for me because its a cross between Pirates! and Colonization.

The concept of building sugar plantations, sawmills, fishing huts, and what not is the closest I've seen to Colonization in the last few years.

I've just notcied there will be a scenario specific government:
                              Protestant Monarchy

It seems to open the path for a more efficient government form (faster workers, reduced corruption) that is also open for a slight war weariness. Only a protestant Monarchy can build the 95 theses too.

Gosh I'd love a feature that makes countries having different governments less tolerant toward each other. Could make some pretty religion wars
