Looking really good, do you have anything against having also a coloured version?

it appeears to be very subtly colored... the grass is green, the mountains are brown.... i think it's largely suppposed to look like that.

Yeah, there is subtle colour in there, But Also Yes, on the coloured version, Since this is the 'Ancient Map' Style, I got all my Hand Drawn Originals and got some 45 yr old colouring pencils (old Poisonous lead style) and have coloured them in, Similar to the Old world coloring I've been researching. So I've allready scanned them and will work on them next ( I think the coloured version looks better for game play, But I load up these and print them up from here...

The only concern I would have is about the luxuries and strategic resources. The original graphics probably wouldn't look very good with this mod and any modded resource icons would be very difficult to pick out at-a-glance when you're so used to the original vesions.

Nevertheless, this is the most original graphics I've seen for a long time and I applaud you for your work Bane Star.

                    • I have my own set of resources, quite different from the old ones, all in a stylised 2d format, with enough colour to identify the object/animal.

Due to the 'adventurous' nature of my map set I have an abundance of african animals, creatures, Tolkien style etc etc, about 10 metal variants, and the mounted troops are all seperated - Spider riders, Wolf Riders, Jaguar Riders, Giant Ant/Beetle Riders and Giant Lizard Riders.. each requires the appropriate creature.. AND for game purposes I made a Unit with the exact picture overlapping, under the Barbarian (0 move) control, So you have to 'defeat' the creature to have access to it as a resource.

Ok, Alpha release... I want some feedback, Please note: Not all of the graphics are done. No railroads, Aircraft landing, and only a few towers, The coastal set is being hand checked for continutity but it still looks ok as it is.... There is no irrigation for tundra nor Desert, I dont have it and wont be doing it... rename the others if you insist on it for yourself.

                      Enjoy....

                      Thanks Gramphos for doing this...

                              • beautiful. i'm not wholly keen on the borders... and some of the lines look... harsh. i can't really describe it... there's one set of hills that look amazing. as if there's some shading going on or something.
