  • Thanks! Are you (or anyone else for that matter) planning to make a Falklands War scenario?

    • Alejandro - Academia as he is known on most forums already has a scenario to cover this subject, it's fairly old but he is in the proccess of updating it.

Keep an eye out for it

            • I believe the root source for all Brits was from these, I posted them 3 months ago:

There's been a lot of modifications of these humble fellows, the more the merrier they say. Keep up the good work chaps

The SBS and Argentines, simply beautiful

ComradeComissar you are my new hero

PS: The Argentines were also using FN Fals at the time, the Chileans the M16(?)

Hmm, I know that I always do this when modern Australian infantry are posted, but there are a couple of things wrong with those (very nice) units. Namely:
*All the Australian troops involved in the war were armed with the M4 Carbine, not the Steyr (this is because they were all special forces, and the SF don't think that the Steyr is a satisfactory weapon for their use).
                * As Iraq was a hot war zone, the soldiers kept their helmets on at all times, though the SAS patrols did wear Arab-style headgear during their vehicle mounted patrols.

There are heaps of good photos of Australian troops during the war at: https://www.defence.gov.au/opfalcone...%20archive.htm

                • Thanks for the feedback Case! Don't worry, any kind of criticism only makes things better.

I've tried correcting them, hope they look okay now (couldn't find 4 RAR's shield though- sorry)

They look great. 4 RAR is part of the Royal Australian Regiment, and only uses that Regiment's badge. The badge is:

BTW, I had a go at making an Australian SAS patrol vehicle a few years ago, but it sucked. Making a weird looking 6 wheel land rover thingy is harder then it would seem

I'll think I'd leave the Australian shield as it is. If I use the RAR's insignia, it will be diminished and can be passed off as any Commonwealth units. I'd like to retain the "Australianess" of the Aussies.

I'm sure its better than it seems. As they say, you are your own harshest critic.

Anyway, Iraq war units seem to have opened a hornet's nest. Its a rather sensitive issue to some so I'll refrain from any in the near future.
