On checking Janes, I think that you may be right. The strange thing is that the Primus doesn't actually *look* much like the M-109
The Singaporeans are rather secretive about their arms manufacture and procurement,* so it's impossible to know what the real story behind the Primus actually is.
*For instance, there are rummors that Singapore has a number of M-60s in secret storage (with the crews being trained in Taiwan) and the 'indigenous' Primus does look an awful lot like the new Spanish IFV. Their offical military budget is also a joke - despite fielding much larger and more sophisticated regular and reserve forces then Australia, Singapore's defence budget is much smaller then the Australian defence budget (US$5 Billion vs the Australian total of about US $9 Billion)
